Mini ones don't deliver much air volume. So it takes many pumps to push in sufficient air. Moreover when you start to reach higher back pressure time, susah to push. I have one from decathlon, rated for 110psi, but when pump until 60-70psi, sudah tak boleh masuk.

eventually can always use petrol station air pump. Especially Schrader valve. If presta valve, then standby a converter head lor.

The mini pump keep for emergency purpose in case of pancit. So emergency time suffer abit no issue la. Alternatively (for emergency situation) use co2 kit. Get you up and running in no time, so you can go top it off at petrol station pump.

For use at home just get a good floor pump, kasi pump before go out.

What mini pumps have you used so far? I've heard Topeak Racerocket series are decent pumps...

Oh... those definitely won't work well including the ones from decathlon... they are rated pretty low on psi... the one I've mentioned is rated up to 120psi, meaning... it's easier to get your pressure up to 60psi(example) compared to the el cheapo ones... but alas, the price is also more expensive... around 150-190 mark. But if it was me, I rather pay more for the convenience...

But the way... mini pumps can never replace floor/track pumps... the ones you use at home.

agreed, hence the thing i said above.

keep a good floor pump at home, mini pump/co2 only for pancit purpose and immediately go top-it off at the nearest station pump.

just an extra note, if your tyre requires an excess of 70psi, go to Petronas, their pump usually can pump up to 100 psi. other stations usually maxed out at 55-70psi only. but not many foldie tyres would need that much of pressure lah.

And on the note of using the valve adapter(if you're using presta with a removeable valve) at the petrol station... do not over tighten the adapter or have a valve core tool on standby... mine got stuck and I tried removing it, the valve core came loose letting the air out... had to use a spare tube that time.
