Thx azam,
Just wanna know if its worth changing to newer hollow brackets, in  performance gain. Does it gives better freespin, like lesser effort to pedal.?
Im looking for more budget upgrade, like the litepros crankset all in bicyclebuyandsell website. Not looking at those ultegra ot higher end cranks set.
The stock single chainring looks darn pretty heavy and not attractive.
*
"Not attractive" is the most ligit reason for changing your Crankset. Others are just excuses… LOL. While you are at it, might as well change to a correct chainring teeth number for your fitness level.
I swear by my ancestors' graves I change my Crankset because they are ugly.

More speed chains can fit less speed gears. I use 11speed and 10speed chain on my 8 speed ultra low end chap ayam combo.
Can save up to 1/2 kg weight some more... most importantly, it's more attractive.

Ok..Fatani..got what u meant now..

I didnt know that Chainrings are speed rated as well...Now that get me thinking how about those <53T chainring compatibility
*
Chainring is not no concern with what speed chain. It's the Front derailleur that you need to be careful.

I got prob using 10 speed chain on 8 speed chainrings. The chain would not stay on the chainrings for long before it climb on it. After change to 10 speed chainrings, no more issues. Even the the mechs pening kepala trying to sort it out. Maybe i wasn't so lucky.
*
I also changed my 8 speed Crankset to gorgeous shimano 11 speed (used) after a while... old one ugly laaaa… maybe I more lucky.

Thx azam for the comprehensive reply. I would have look at taobao, but the lack of mandarin knowledge prevented me from buying there so far. I saw lots of litepro stuffs in aliexpress,  but not too sure if all those there are original litepros.Any experience buying from Aliexpress for bike stuffs?
Ur suggestion of using and leaving the double second chainring on is good, lesser hassle and im not too worry of chaindrop as i have that tern chain device clam on to my frame.
Now i will need to decide to go for litepros single or using shimanos like tiagras and 105 crankset, as likely the price is lebih kurang.

Will seek out the wheelsets u suggested, and if not, ur recommendation of kfun is good enuff for me.
Thx a lot.

Lite pro is just another glorified chap ayam… cantik punya chap ayam… if you really serious about Crankset , get shimano, SRAM, campagnolo, FSA, or even LTWoo…

Jokes aside, if you aren't sure, just buy cheapest shimano you can find. Shimano is the king of cheap bike parts. (A part from being the king of expensive parts too)

Yeah la Ken, pasal cantik and single chainring..thats why consider the litepro. The shimanos neva come across a nice looking single chainring. If double, then shimano likely gets my vote.

FSA, praxis, campagnolo, rotor, do produce good looking Crankset.

seriously, i did not really put too much attention about the whole bike weight. but for me, i do noticed the difference in the pedalling effort in the reduced weight of the moving parts, even if it's a few hundred grams apart. my rt and litepro wheelset are around the same weight, but i do find that i need a little more effort to pedal the litepros due to the heavier tyres that i put it on with. and yes, i totally agree with you with the hi profile wheelset. it does makes a difference on the flats, no dispute, ,

i guess whatever bike oso doesnt matter. unfortunately, your fitness is something that we can all only envy la sifu  drool.gif .

From my experiments, (and physics too) says big radius rotating mass contributes most significantly… I tried very cheap single walled rims (very cheap under rm20 if I remember correctly, those which will bend with a small hit on tiny road pot hole.) It was my fastest rim ever… but since bend rims during any ride is bad for my well being, hence my low profile double-walled BMX racing rims.
I am a under 20kmh old turtle, aerodynamics affect is minimal, so high or low profile rims has little concern.
The next is light tires. Light tires are usually supple, supple tires are always lower rolling resistance.
BUT Light and supple tires are usually easy puncture… so… pandai pandai la.

2 types of 20" wheels. 406 and 451. Pick 406 if you don't know what you are doing.

406 Vs 451
Been discussed and beaten to death here in this thread over and over and over and over....
Do roll back till v1, or better yet, go to page 1 of this thread.

+1.
I asked Rodalink and Schwalbe Malaysia (both under Lerun Industries Sdn. Bhd) regarding the Schwalbe Kojak and their sales rep told me to wait for 3 months.  bangwall.gif  doh.gif  cry.gif   rclxub.gif  grumble.gif
Better buy from Taobao.  nod.gif

May I ask where can I buy 35-559 tyres for 26" rims ? icon_question.gif
I've looked around Klang Valley but I'm unable to find any brands that have this size.  cry.gif
If you know, can you please share the location / seller? TQ.  cheers.gif

Funny, I have impression that 26" tires are as common as proton saga spare parts…
You tried bicyclebuysell yet?
