QUOTE(Lavitz @ Jul 26 2018, 06:39 PM) thanks man, got all the side accessories covered, just need a foldie and im good to go.. MYR1.5K btw I suggest a Crius Master V (RM 1,300). Already 9 speed and loaded with Litepro parts. Balance 200 bucks can upgrade to better tires. https://www.facebook.com/144683379463432/po...37646433500459/Or you could go with a Dahon Route or Tern Link B7

QUOTE(KenC @ Jul 26 2018, 05:48 PM) The cadence/speed sensor is under RM40. All GPS devices will have signal problem under canopy and cloud. Hence not worth more than rm166 which I paid for. More interested to have power saving Ant+ HRM and cadence sensor… Nowadays I done cycle in the rain and stare at the speedometer. Only look at average speed after the ride. No bothered with top speed… no point ler, old geezer can go how fast? same like me lah.. after finish ride just view the avg speed. but when ur signal lost, all of ur avg speed will be drop as well. i adopt the speed/cadence sensor (combo).having a speed sensor can be handy, also it can be used indoor with trainer or roller. eh ken, u still waxing ur chain?

The main reason i bought the speed sensor, is to use it with roller. Im lucky so far i never encounter with the lost gps signal issue, even when offroading. Nowadays, the only numbers that i put my sight most during riding, is cadence and heart rate. Average speed, yeah, once in a while. Those cadence and heart rate datas will dictate my choice gearing. And, yeah, on the contrast of my earlier cycling days, i use em all now, those gears, whenever possible. So i guess i migrated from a grinder to a spinner now. Heeeheee

I scare die, the HRM is for making sure I don't die on the bike over worked. The cadence is for making sure I torture myself enough. Average speed is for making sure I get home before the gate is locked…

Careful bro. Overshooting your heart rate is not good for your heart muscle.

Max heart rate = 220 - age This is for non-active people... One can go deeper into heart rate zone details but if one is not bothered at least know your max heart rate. One can also measure your max heart rate after one attain a heart rate monitoring device. At the least watch out for your engine rev redline.

Brand new bikes. the nice guy that belanja my lunch during my audax, collapsed on his ride less than a month later. same issue. never had the chance to pay his good courtesy. he was an active cyclist and a randonneur. i think his name is Victor Wong. The Bukit Mertajam Audax was dedicated to him. his cycling buddy were with him that time. there's a long post of infos that he shared from IJN of what caused such incidents to athletes/cyclist etc. need to dig out his fb posts. btw, i got infos about heart rate from a doctor which is also a cycling buddy. long story short, don't hi revs too much.

QUOTE(azamunekurone @ Jul 27 2018, 09:38 PM) pm me ur number ken, lost oledi lor 😅 wah..What magic special wax u guys using? Im trying the Adreno wax and its works good so far..only not so cost effective for price/ml per bottle. Keen to try out the SquirtLube soon..price /ml seems cheap compared to other lubes. Speaking of the Heart rate sensor thingy...im not into this stuff yet, and have not much idea what the purpose of it for cycling. RB frens use them, just didnt thought foldie kakis use them too. To our heart rate training zone and not to overblown fuse?

To our heart rate training zone and not to overblown fuse? Homebrew Wax Chap OlangTua. Wax is very cost effective (free) but it looks like preparing the chain (Degreasing) is too expensive for the general public. So far only 3 takers in over 1.5years of free waxing offering. (One of them donated the complete bike immediately after I go all the way to install my used waxed chain on the bike. Test pun x test) All hectic sport are dangerous… HRM is your engine rev meter… Cycling is a hectic sport. If you treat it as a sport la. If all one do is leisure rolling to the mamak stall and kedai runcit without breaking a sweat, the danger is running down by cars and not heart failure.

i wanted to ask you guys foldies how did you make payment for an overpriced foldies like brompton because i saw a folding bike i like but cost over 6k instead of java model under 2k. i just graduated and started to work need portable transport to move around city but at price like that just started to work sounds impossible. does bike shop offer some installment or did you guys get some personal loan from bank? would like to listen for advice and wanted to avoid high interest payment rate from aeon service.
