I like how even though the keyboard is plugged into the earphone jack, there's still a pass through for the earphones as well. That said the interesting fact for gear heads to note is... what does the keyboard connect to? That would mean the earphone jack in the controller is more than just a simple earphone jack, but if it IS just a simple jack with 2 data pins, how can it deliver both the keyboard signals, and the headset signals at the same time?!?!?!?!

Aaaa... brain twist..

Hmm, does this mean we'll be able to play other than wmv format now? Can't wait!

I wonder what type of file container does it support

I think it was mentioned as MP4 containers, and mpeg4 video stream + aac audio stream. which means.. not wat u typically download off the net.

proxy's ain't going to help, cause they're checking ur box's region now. luckily it seems like this special checking only applies to the media & entertainment items.

it's not that MS doesn't want your money rather the movie and studios have very messed up distribution rights issues about delivering content to other countries.

also if ms doesn't properly control the content distribution they can be held viable for censorship violations in certain countries, imagine what if ppl found out ms is allowing u to easily download uncensored R rated movies here? tongue.gif

Just relax and play games, the update will be up when it's up and once it's up people will start complaining about why they have to download it, as always! wink.gif

MS will never rush a quick patch without testing it first, so the delay most likely has nothing to do with the chip modders.

Anyway for the wireless keyboard front, let's put it this way, if your keyboard works in windows without needing any drivers, it'd most likely work on the 360 without any problems.

For all those just joining us and worried that our slow internet connection might brick ur box during the update.

Don't worry.

The update is done in 2 phase
- Downloading
- Updating

First phase it'll say "Update is being downloading, don't turn off bla bla bla.."
If something bad happens at this point of time.. you'll be ok.

2nd phase it'll say "Applying update, don't turn off bla bla bla" at this point of time if anything bad happens YOU ARE F********

So try not to do it in the middle of a rainstorm! wink.gif

OK... confirmed, content previosuly streamed via ORB and TVersity ain't working no more, I wonder if it's a codec issue or some sort of protocol changes, in any case.. NOT GOOD at all!

In any case.. the 360 now plays MP4 container, MPEG4 Video Stream AAC audio stream files

only mp4? how about avi or mkv?
if the avi files is using h264 and aac, dunno can play if renaming it into mp4 hmm.gif

Wouldn't work, each container has it's own way of storing data and the 360 doesn't understand how to decode those containers.

Dude.. that's what we call GUIDE HANG, cause it's like the blade is trying to post/get some info off the net but the net speed is too crappy and thus it hangs there, sometimes if you leave it it'll be ok.

But.. has been happening much lesser now compared to when the 360 launched.
