they were using other xiaomi models, but it should worth a try.
i use Google Maps with the Uber Driver app. so far i have used 3 phones. the oldest is Samsung Note 3 Neo, 2nd oldest Xiaomi 3S, and newest is Xiaomi Mi A1. the samsung, even though is old, has no problems at all with gps except a bit slow when launching navigation. both xiaomis got gps issue when using google maps with uber driver. and both ok when using google maps by itself. i have disabled all battery optimising for uber and google maps, but no luck. tried disabling battery optimisation for just google maps also no luck. sent to xiaomi and they change motherboard also no luck. now i pass the xiaomis to family members who dont use uber driver app...they very happy with those xiaomis.just last weekend, in the Grab drivers thread, a few grabbers were experiencing that and were advised to disable that function.
