i think the game against AM will determine who tops our CL group. but then again, being top of the group doesn't guarantee we will get easier route pass the 2nd round. as long as we are the top two by end of the group stage will be very good already. still, i am hoping for the best for the match.

i am much more concern about the game against city. they averaged 2-3 goals per game with only 2 goals conceded in all games so far. maybe we should go super defensive and hit them during counter attack. i think they are most vulnerable at CB area because both Stones and Otamendi can be a time-bomb. no chance to go pass mendy or walker on the flanks.. hopefully conte can do his magic during this game!

City now is on top form. And we are not bad for ourselves too. I think at least we can snatch a draw or even a win this weekend against Pep. If any team can stop City momentum it should be us because we are Chelsea, we are comfortable to let our opponent with the ball and hit them with a deadly counter attack.

Conte loves to play against Pep because his style of football is totally different from Pep. And last season we did a double on City remember. But now Pep also using three at the back, so it should be an interesting tactical battle from Conte and Pep.

On a side note i can't recall a penalty save from Courtois.. Also notice that morata tends to use his right foot in one on one situation even when attacking down the left. This could be his weakness

we cant even dominate the midfielder, how do you expect us to control the game.

there were a few positives that we can take from this game.

Christensen, Rudi both are ready for first team action.

defensively we were great except for that goal.

our mentality, we kept on attacking even in dying minutes.

Don't forget we less time to prepare for this game, coming off a hard game with Atletico.

First part of first half wasn't that bad. We look comfortable to sit deep and hit them on the counter. Got into good position as well until Morata came off injured then we really toothless.

Well, he is the gaffer. He is paid to make decisions. And his decisions of coz is up to him to justify. Not us.

Maybe it was part of the plan during the whole week of training to put Willian in at some point of the game replacing Morata. Maybe Conte trained with Willian in CF. We never know.

It's just a bad Gamble and didn't pay off. U can't Gamble and win all the time. U win some u lose some. Coupled with City's superior performance and Willian's terrible performance. Just not our day.

Torino will reportedly look to lock down the talents of star striker Andrea Belotti with a new contract amid interest from Chelsea and AC Milan. Meanwhile, the Blues have been linked with Spanish wonderkid Iker San Vicente.

It hasn't even been a year since Torino last extended Belotti's stay at the club, but Italian newspaper Tuttosport (h/t Calciomercato.com) reported he's set to be rewarded with a wage increase.

It's said Belotti's salary will be increased to €2.5 million (£2.2 million) per year, while it's to be expected that Torino will either look to retain or even increase his current €100 million (£88 million) release clause.

Whether the Italy international would be worthy of such a massive investment is up for debate, although WhoScored.com recently illustrated how he matches up against one of the world's most expensive strikers:

Chelsea might have a need for a striker of Belotti's calibre right now after Alvaro Morata limped off at Stamford Bridge on Saturday after 35 minutes against Manchester City due to a hamstring problem. Manager Antonio Conte did not term the injury "serious," according to Miguel Delaney of The Independent.

The west Londoners have capitalised a lot on the fact Morata, who is joint-second in goals this season with six, is so proficient using his head in a system that relies a lot on its wide players. Match of the Day hinted he and Belotti may be rather similar in terms of attacking style:

But Belotti's price tag would be a gargantuan amount for a striker who wouldn't be guaranteed to start under Conte unless he plans to employ a two-striker strategy more.

Calciomercato mentioned Milan as one of the other parties interested in Belotti, although it's clear the 23-year-old forward also had his admirers at Juventus:

Torino will hope the offer of a new deal is enough to keep their star happy in Turin, although the reported offer only equates to a wage of just under £45,000 per week, a sum Chelsea could easily best should they wish.
