um.. then again, i think i prefer we go for someone better than Oscar. too many chances for him to prove himself, yet always seems to lack that extra thing.

QUOTE(max_cavalera @ Oct 5 2017, 12:56 PM) Ya agree....hes good but lack that consistent killer instinct to be the finish article like fabregas or some other top level playmaker. He wants his no.10 to play a destroyer role. Win the ball high up on the pitch and turn into an attack with another DM behind to protect in case fail. Most no.10 just creative in passing and shootingI think during mou time, mou tactics may kill hes development a lil since mou focus midfielder to do defensive duty a lot... oscar shine in this, but ultimately stagnated his killer instinct playmaking capability.... Not sure why but jose tend to hate flair playmaker that isnt good defending like de bruyne, oscar, isco. |

QUOTE(lyc1982 @ Oct 5 2017, 03:00 PM) No.10 jersey is normally for playmaker... yea he wants his playmaker to harass the opponent DMs for the ball, win it and create chances. but to be able to perform both assisting and defending requires a lot of skills QUOTE “For me a number 10 does a lot of things, with the ball and without the ball. So for me a number 10 is a very special player in my team. “With a system of two midfield players and one number 10, I demand a lot from a number 10. “I like a number 10 to score goals. I like a number 10 to get in the box. I like a number 10 to score goals like Oscar's against Maccabi Tel Aviv. “A number 10 for me is an eight-and-a-half when the team loses the ball, and the number 10 is a nine-and-a-half when the team has the ball. “Who is my perfect number 10? Wesley Sneijder and Deco. Because they could defend, get in the box and finish goals? Yes.” - Jose Mourinho said this when Eden Hazard wanted the no.10 role before. so different concepts of no.10 role. This post has been edited by yokoloco: Oct 5 2017, 05:18 PM |

QUOTE(gry @ Oct 7 2017, 07:48 PM) Board last bid for llorente 5m only? WTF! No wonder spurs get him. Pity conte. Expecting him to leave us soon! think we dodged a bullet there. we bid 5m +1 year contract for a backup striker.Spurs bought him for 11.5m (potentially reaching 15m) +2 years contract. played less game time than Batshuayi. but we do really need a striker tho in Jan lol |

QUOTE(briantwj @ Oct 10 2017, 03:32 PM) 1) Musonda should just take Christensen as an example, on loan 3 seasons to other team. And when the chance come, (Luiz suspended), Christensen took the chance and let his performance on the pitch do the talking. not just that. you see Wenger harap youth, signing their British core. until now, nothing much to show for it. 2) He is competing against Hazard, Pedro and Willian. What do you expect? A walk in the park? Altho Willian has been poor, but he contributed and won titles with us. 3) Can u as a fan accept it? If we go trophyless for 2-3 seasons, but we play all our youth, Loftus Cheek, Solanke, Musonda, Christensen. For a club our size, that's too much revenue lost. In the end, we need the cash flow from titles. can try put youth for the next 2-3 seasons, no trophy. but later end up not good enough? maybe cant even hit top 4? too much risks compared to reward. |
