wow...ok ok...will add ya to the list... smile.gif

ok...first of all, you need to uninstall norton and instalal another third party software....( i personally like avast, google it over the net to download it..its free!!!)

install avast on your other comp also... (avast is an antivirus software by the way... tongue.gif)

next you need to follow this settings for vista

user posted image

then you just right click on which folder/drive you wanna share on both comp, restart both comp and you're done!

make sure windows defender unblocks all the connection....

you need to connect them to a router...did you do that?? tongue.gif

yea...me 2....sometimes i had a tough time reading discs.....i guess its the batch...you could send back to hp and complain bout it...but if they test their disc and it functions alrite, i dun htink they will change it for ya... sad.gif

Well, my problem isn't reading the disks... I've been able to read most so far, cept a few that also don't work on other dvd readers. I've been getting crc errors mid-installation for all the games complaining about different files, and while I can just hit ignore and finish the installation... well, my games would have missing files and I guess they won't run perfectly. sad.gif

Maybe it's the batch, I bought them all from the same place.

Should I try and return the disks in exchange for others? I just don't know if the guy will believe that all of them don't work for me, but at the same time what a waste of money sweat.gif

anyone can advise on partitioning using shrink volume???
how exactly does it work??

Attached Image

does this mean that the 24 gigs will be the remainder of my c:?? my d: is left as the recovery partition. so there will be a new drive f: with however much space i specify?? considering e: is my dvd drive??

i still can fix it, after switch on for like 2 days it will stop function. need to restart.

QUOTE(Mgsrulz @ Apr 18 2007, 05:13 PM)
cant do much about it now..
just wait and see if it'll receive a driver update or something..

for now,we 6205(assuming others dont have this problem) owners are pretty much screwed... tongue.gif

i dont think any anti virus is 100% better than the rest, but Avast(in my case) found a hell  of a lot of viruses that norton simply did not. rclxub.gif  shocking.gif

so i figured, why bother with norton when avast is more effective(so far) and is completely FOC?) smile.gif
*
okay will install avast now

I've noticed that whenever I turn my laptop on after a long period of inactivity (I was at work for about 9 hrs) I'd find the battery depleted to about 92-94%, despite always running on ac power. Is this normal? Doesn't seem so... sad.gif

Hi wanna confirm something with HP Pavilion dv6205TX Entertainment Notebook PC user. is this model of notebook got hp imprint technology(shinny casing). Kind of confusing here because the catalogue did not say any but when looking the picture seems like got. as the price is not much different with dv3000 series so targeting on both of this. if it got hp imprint then mostly i'll get it.. haha.
Cheapest price is how much?

Compaq Presario and HP Pavilion come with HP Imprint but different pattern for both. Good luck in choosing.

Beyond--- it's turned off. Complete shut down. That's why I'm unsure as to why the battery depletes.

Kelvin-- the 6205tx was replaced by 6227tx recently, but it's got the same specs and cost the same price. The only difference is a slightly faster processor, and yes, it does have the hp imprint (black and silver, whereas the Compaqs are just a charcoal gray). It costs around 3999--- and the freebies that come with it is up to your bargaining skills.
