actually i din go to the myself... always my brother and one of my parents went, but it was very unlucky for us... bcoz our desktop that we bought, we went there many times bcoz of the harddisk.... luckily within warranty...

first time toatlly spoilt and data unrecoverable.... replaced with another one..... and for not long.... spoilt again, i immediately cried coz i work on my stuff TWICE redi!!! and it spent quite some of my time doing it, luckily this time recoverable and anyway the harddisk replacement works until now although we have donated it to someone else....

The rest of the machine is nice... anyway the harddisk is not made by HP.....

I still think HP is good, especially that i like the laptop, very nice specs for me and reasonable pricing.

Where do refurbished computers come from?

Refurbished computers are not used computers that have been in use over a long period of time. Most are cancelled orders and customer return units, others are overstocks, evaluation units, cosmetically blemished products and older discontinued products. Refurbished products are tested and if necessary, non-working components are replaced with working parts to bring the product up to fully functional condition.

I have a dv6205tx! biggrin.gif

Very happy so far, everything going smoothly. I notice a loud whirring sound that turns on and off from time to time though-- is that the harddrive? It turns on at seemingly random times so I can't be too sure...

Does it have any difference when we compare a laptop with 1GB of RAM + 1GB of ReadyBoost RAM with laptop with 2GB of RAM in term of speed? Or it's just a slight different..?

Extra RAMs are way better then Flash drive. Better opt for more RAM.

Anyone know where can I get rid of my stock RAM? I plan to buy 2 GB for performance boost in Vista.

better 1gb+1gb than 2gb itself...bcoz its dual channel(DDR2)..so 1gb+1gb will running on dual channel mode..performance mean 2x more faster than 2gb x 1 piece...
