hmm...the problem with mine is tat i cannot perform the recovery, they say error 100a searched through google and i cant find it....now i also cant access the partition....:s you think its possible for me to copy the partition over to my ext hdd and recover it from there?

The recovery partition is protected by default. I also cant access to it. Do you think you can activate the recovery wizard from Windows? or you dont have the wizard.

that is the thing, i installed xp...but when i wish to recover back to vista using the thing, it failed....saying its having some error and ask me to contact hp....besides, i've never been able to enter into the recovery menu...damn....think i'm gonna loose my vista partition soon unless some1 can burn 1 copy for me...mgsrulez??

You use dual boot or you format the vista partition to install xp on your lappy?

i formatted the vista partition to install xp on my lappy...then i cannot recover back to vista....called hp technical but they promised to call me back...till now is the same...no response...i am on vista currently but its not the copy provided by hp...

sure..count me in..hehehe
they quoted me 4450 for additional 1gb ram n extended warranty....juz manage to get targus backpack,mouse and pendrive...
but quite sad bcoz this model not available at pc fair....if not surely can win something from their circle of rewards...hehhe

Are those shortcut buttons functioning after u format? Or u lost ur whole HP settings?

hmmm....they are working cause i backup all the swsetup files before formating....lucky me...but i cant seem to get back those hp wallpapers...guess i gotta send back to hp to let them check it......sheesh...

bought it at digital stuff lyp....the only diff is the proc 1.83...else is still da same

Whoa..nice price man....i think i'm not goign to wait for the centrino pro anounced in conjuction of the price dropping on core2duo and core duo processor..haha....will have a check soon...how's the lappy bro..? satisfied with it..?

is it possible to burn a copy for you?
i was under the impression that each notebook comes with the OEM version,and is binded to the hardware (or something)

if i can burn it to be used on another notebook,does that mean i can burn it for other notebooks too? blink.gif
