I didn't know this. I feedback to Uber facebook and they immediately refund as Uber credit (in this aspect Uber is fast).

How abt grabcar? Quoted fixed fare includes toll charges?

The quoted fare for Grab is not inclusive of toll fare. So, whenever you are ending the job, there will be a section where you are to manually key in the toll fare.

You don't key in, you don't get to claim it back later.

in that case, grabcar fare is now $2-3 higher than Uber fare for hkl-ampang trip..when grabcar fare $2-3 LOWER than Uber (includes toll automatically) for same trip just last week! (I'm a rider btw).

Anyone notice there was no b2b ping today or just me? Probably Grab disabled it temporarily to get things fixed, but l'll be very happy if it's permanently. As usual, Grab = slow, fix after 6 days...

i still received b2b from cp tower this afternoon when heading to um. the rider had to wait at least 10 mins and fortunately she cancelled the trip. but today pings came in really slow.

So what are you trying to say?! Just call Grab or Uber cs to ask for 'reasonable' fares 'specially' for you will do!

fare is always base on demand.
when demand is high, many passenger requesting for rides, then the fare is high.
both Uber and Grab using the same formula to add in surcharge.

so statement above is incorrect. don't believe, everyday at different time you try request both apps and compare the fare. there are times Uber expensive, there are times Grab expensive.

and smart passenger will always compare first before requesting.

be positive..I tried input same trip at different times today (afternoon, evening, night..) & always slightly lower quoted fare for Uber (since uber's include toll, toll charges can be credited back if took alternative non-toll route)..other trips are also cheaper when tried whole day today, when I remember just before this week, Uber is higher generally at same time-trip -> grab fare higher starting this week?

if the fare about the same, they will request both to see whichever come first. i think uber very fast one, thats why grab driver always get no show. haha
