02 Zinc Owner sleep.gif

WWE_RC4070131 firmware, wonder when will o2 release a WM6 firmware, I hope they will sleep.gif

Everything is OK, really like this particular model, but I do have some minor complain with my unit.

Even on the highest volume setting, I think the loudspeakers are not too loud sleep.gif, is it normal? (the alarm1 sound esp. is practically useless to serve as an alarm LOL, even on the highest vol setting sleep.gif") And when I dial someone on loudspeaker mode, you know where it goes tut tut... tut tut, usually by the second or third tut it goes muffled (as in you cant hear the tut anymore), is that normal as well?

Other than that everything is ok, got used to the keypad, installed a whole bunch of useless software on my phone (yeah going to uninstall some of it and reinstall stuff that I really will use)

BTW talking about Softwares, anyone know any good dictionary software?

I had upgraded to WM6 via online download and sync with ActiveSync 4.5 + ROM Update Program.

Funny I dont notice that the O/S is any more slower than previously, but I do notice that the sounds that appear when you press Start button is gone. Everyone is like this also? Or the ROM i downloaded disabled the sounds?

Hmm? I have no problem with WM6. Anyways I never had trouble with video call even back in WM5 version.

How about loudspeaker/handsfree mode? (only Voice, non video), does that has issue as well>

Try to upgrade your ROM to WM6 or something and try again. If Video Call still having issues, then you might need to send in your Zinc to the repair center.

Oh BTW, what Mobile Provider are you using? I heard on old WM5 ROMs it has issues with Celcom. I am using Maxis anyways.

Bring your original receipt / Photostat receipt with a clear view on the companies stamp (the company that sell you the PDA).

It is free upgrade if you're still under the warranty period (well all Zinc's are still under warranty period, cause it was first released in Feb biggrin.gif)

Well don't you know that 3G chip are awfully thirsty for power?

Even the WIFI and Bluetooth chip is also draining power, albeit of course, the Bluetooth consume far less power compared to the other two.

No phone in the world (at least currently) can last long when running 3G non-stop, our battery capability and technology has not evolved yet to support those power consuming chips for long hours.

The headset does have a level adjuster (volume slider) near the o2 dongle, maybe you forgot to adjust that higher?

You can use ActiveSync to sync your old contacts to outlook, then sync it again to the new phone.

Long time no see.

Need a quick question here, using Official WM6 ROM here, just upgraded to the latest one (cause of the MSN Contact List bug), anyways, what is the best software to install to enable Japanese and Chinese viewing (on SMS and etc).

Thanks.

Long time since I visited here.

My Zinc is still working fine, saw the Atom V plugin up there, can it work with Zinc? Looks very cool...
