i too think the 2nd pic looks more logical. but i thought the 45 degrees tilting display is supposedly the Kaizer's selling point?

then there are 2 hinges right above the shift keys, which makes it flip up when u want it to....

well, you can add on a bluetooth gps receiver to use with any device, so the gps in the Kaizer is not all that special.

but the tilting screen could come in handy especially if you type a lot using the keyboard.

ok back to topic, how's the latest ROM for the Zinc now? is it more stable? more importantly, is it worth buying if i were to buy now.

am in the midst of selling my o2 atom now, and i somehow prefer o2 over dopod. i like the finishing of the atom, and the Zinc looks pretty cool to me.

The latest rom now is the ROM that customized for Malaysian user ... see 1st page ...
My friend upgraded it and seems to fix some bugs that they missed out on the singapore release rom (that i am using now)
Well for me it worth every cent .... although the WM6 upgrade is not that sure yet ...

i just bought a zinc on this 20th May 2007.....Welcome me on board?

I wish to share my experience on the ROM upgrade on my Zinc..

When i got the brand new Zinc, they upgraded me automatically with the new ROM (WWE_RM1070416 Malaysia Only). It worked fine (everything work smooth, fast Start scroll down..etc) until i tried to connect my Motorola H3 bluetooth headset... The sound was so poor till i hardly able to listen to the sound coming out from the headset. I thought my headset got problem, so i went back low yat plaza and asked for a check. They tried on another demo unit (same latest version ROM with mine), the result is the same. When they switched to a new unit (with oem installed ROM version), everything works fine. So, the latest ROM is buggy is this area.

And the result, my unit went for a warranty claim, and i got another brand new one with OEM ROM version...hehe...

For those who wish to upgrade to the latest ROM, unless you don't use bluetooth, else you really wish and pray that the latest ROM work fine with ur zinc. Thanks.

Does your problem only occur if you pair with the H3?

Any other reported problems with other BT headsets?

dunno bout the price now ... but maybe drop a lill bit only ...

no..not only H3..i tried using the Jabra bt135 also..same result (poor receiving sound..)

the current price, as at 20 may, is rm2988, free 2gb mini sd card, 1 jabra bt135 bluetooth headset...

i am waiting for the next ROM to be release cos the latest rom really got problem...and the OEM ROM stable...but...response quite slow..especially the Start button..

So it's not an isolated case with the Jabra headset.

Hmm... I use BT headsets a lot so it is important that I can use it without any issues.

ok that one ... i used it for 1 day only ... slow respond, hangs a lot ... oso bluetooth not that stable ... 3g oso on off... set the gprs auto ... oso time have to set to visiting else time lari

oh...slow responde sometimes la...but always hang doesn't happen to me...maybe i dun use many application at one time...

and about 3G..yes, i can't connect at all..maybe coz i still havent upgrade to 3G sim card...according to the shop that sell me la..They actually demo using 3G and regular SIM Card to connect, which 3G can but regular can't...Wonder why??? My gf using Nokia n73 connect to internet using regular Sim card also no problem...

Any idea?

And the sing ROM really better than the OEM ROM?

dont think so ... even 2G sim can connect using GPRS cos if using 3G sim oso u will see 2 icon at the top ... 3G & G (gprs)
well if can upgrade la to 3G sim better

well as 4 me the sing rom is better

In penang (pacific seberang jaya) the zinc is now on offer for RM 1790 + 2 GB mini SD... zzzzz... still confuse either this or 838 pro... i like the keyboard on the zinc tho,but lack buttons n no jog dial... haiz...
