Hello,

My computer seems to have a problem whenever i only open on my /F: folder (not /C:) to view some other folders inside the hdd.

My computer began to slow down and RAM Memory is slowly increasing every second.
From what i notice in the task manager,
there's a process call dllhost.exe where its eating away all the ram and its description under COM Surrogate.

To recover normally i have to restart every time when i open the F folder, and after that everything is okay, but ill never touch the /:F just to avoid it.

I look around with Mr.Google and which quite confuse whether its a malware or link to the system32.
Please help and thank you

try running disk clean up and then run this 'sfc /scannow' on cmd/powershell in elevated mode, see if it fix the problem.

i think this is a common problem because there were many potential solutions posted online by all sorts of users when i looked it up.

first, since it's generally thumbnail previiew related, did you disable thumbnail previews for your system? you can look it up if you don't know how to do this in w7. secondly it's related to buggy codecs (again it's about thumbnail preview thing). some said reinstalling good codecs will make your problems go away.

good luck.
