Certain area yes, you can see a bit of the shadow but not affecting us at all. I think the LED downlight that we use also contribute to this effect (i not too sure). But as long as your fan has a certain distance to the downlight I think should be alright geh. But i am not pro in this sorry. So far our house is ok according to what we have planned based on our common knowledge. Sorry ya can't help you on this issue.

The big window actually consist of a few parts.
1 x 12mm tempered glass (4x6 ft) - Around RM 1000
2 x (2 x 6 ft) alu casement window - Around RM 1300

Hope this help.

would the fan be mounted lower or higher better to reduce light shadows?

hi, regarding the fan, i have to say i really got no knowledge at all smile.gif But i will assume that closer to the ceiling will be better but probably air circulation will be reduced if you were to do that and also i not sure if the fan is adjustable for the different heights you want. As for mine, our fan is not adjustable.

Yes, including everything like installation, the frame and etc but not tinting.
There are 3 fixed panel, the largest is the middle one and it's fixed, then there are another 2 small fixed panel at both right and left hand bottom. Then there are 2 windows both left and right which we can open. The window size is 2x4ft.

If you like this type of design, i think you can google a bit and there are a lot of such design samples. Personally it's all up to your own preference. I prefer windows coz i need air ventilation and also i only turn on the aircond at night at the minimal like 2 hours only then i will open the window for cooling purposes.

Hi, not those professional movers, we just engage the normal lorry driver with 2 movers (bangla).

1st experience (during moving out) is horrible. The boss agreed a price but sent someone else came and negotiated another price. I knew these issue is very common and i have already confirmed with the owner that please make sure this kind of issue does not happen and agreed on the price but still it happen to me. The lorry driver came and if i don't pay for the price they just wont move my things. I think we always get stuck in such situation as we have to move on that day if not we are screwed. So, i suggest if budget allowed then try to engage those professional movers. They even help you to wrap large items like sofa and fridge. My fridge got scratch and dent during moving out.

When moving back we engage another guy, he is actually from a furniture shop and i think he is doing this as part time only. they charge per trip but his lorry only 3 tonnes after fully loaded. So we have to pay 2 trips which ended up the price also not to say very cheap.

Hi... here is the photo between my room and my upper floor living room. As you can see that you will not noticed any joint and even the profiling they use at the door frame matches the flooring design. If i understood correctly, some other flooring will require a profiling between different rooms (i might be wrong though). But this seamless flow is what I am expecting and hoping to have. The only disappointment that we encounter is for the stairs. I was hoping that the stairnose color/design will match our flooring as well but it doesn't

thanks for coming back to me! it looks seamless indeed. the only thing I notice is on the 2nd pic, at the side, it looks like the skirting is extended to the floor itself also? is that intentional?

Like the ceiling with the concealed lighting/cove lighting. How much did you pay for the plaster ceiling?

That's the type of profile they use to cover the gaps between the laminate flooring and also the door frame. Based on what i saw from other company, i think they will use something similar to the photo below which we don't really like it. Sorry that I have to steal the photo from google and i might be wrong about other company when it comes to profiling.

u mean inovar? So they also has to use this kind of profile to join different type of design. but if using same series, it's really seamless which i like.

Yes inovar. I really like to have the profile. It save my room 😁 One time pipe leaking during night which I didn't realised. By morning water is filling up. Lucky with the profile, water didn't get into my room
