Not sure he is troll or genuinely lack of knowledege.. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif sweat.gif

anyways. @MrLuno out of topic a bit but with your knowledge in crpto and its industry, can you advise is the gain from trading in Luno is taxable?

Does Luno have appropriate assistance should we want to declare our income in Luno in the future? I.e (summary of trading profit / month?)

Hi Eric, after checking -- our customer support team are waiting for your reply (email sent on 15th Feb). They have resent you another one today. (Please check your spam folders if you can't find it?) Thanks.
Hi, unfortunately all I know right now is the internal decision is within the bank. But our senior management continues to chase them hard for the reopening. Understand the wait has been terribly long. We are sorry, and will continue to chase this.

Hi Aaron. If this is the case, and you said all other exchanges already started operating again. Why cant Luno just open another account, let say CIMB and use that as a medium for people to transfer money in and out Luno. I believe with over 40 countries in operation, Luno has millions of capital to open a new bank account. So u can now run Luno exchange like normal while chasing bank to unfreeze your Maybank account.

After all, even after Maybank unfreeze the account, it would be handy if Luno has 2 account for more efficient transfer to CIMB and Maybank user.

Or, could it be, this doesnt happen, because Luno no longer has the money to operate?

Hi, Mr.Luno, i was wondering, the planned withdrawal, is it only for fund allocation that got stuck, or incoming fund inside Luno can also be withdrawn prior to May?

Hey wildan -- currently the pending withdrawals in system are being processed. This was since late last week.

For incoming funds -- did you mean the funds already appeared in your Luno MYR wallet and you want to withdraw? If so, the withdrawals for those funds will start on 23rd April.

Or did you mean something else? Do let me know. Can PM also if it's private. Thanks.
Hey jack -- acknowledged that it is very weird, but it is the only option we have now. The "manual withdrawal" way was always meant to start the ball rolling first for withdrawals. Meanwhile we are working on other methods which will hopefully clear up the backlog very soon.

I mean, if i buy Bitcoin someplace else, transferred it to Luno. Sell the Bitcoin in exchange to MYR. And then the MYR displayed in my account, can it be withdrawn right after 23rd April?

I'm not really sure how the mechanism for exchange in luno works but as per my understanding,

1. Money that was freezed by Maybank should already be owned by somebody

2. New BTC coming to exchange from external source. If it was traded in Exchange, does it means it will be traded with the freezed money? Because no additional fund can go in Luno.

Correct me if im wrong. Because the last thing i want is to put btc in Luno but there is no way out.
