Hi chonghe,

The situation you're referring to has been solved, all of the customers who had their RM in their Luno wallets have successfully received their funds. This issue occurred because LHDN made an inquiry regarding Luno's business bank account, which had a lot of transactions that represented customers funds moving in and out based on their deposit and withdrawals.

Since being regulated by the Securities Commission Malaysia, they have set in place a proper framework for Digital Asset Exchanges (Luno included) to operate legally in the country. This has also allowed Luno to sign a formal agreement with our banking partner to ensure that what happened in the past does not repeat itself. Part of this formal agreement and regulations also requires all Digital Asset Exchanges (Luno included) to utilise a Trust Account, which is in place to differentiate Luno's operating funds with customer funds. For customers, this is a great thing because if anything occurs to any Digital Asset Exchange (Luno included), your funds are safe, as the Digital Asset Exchanges (Luno included) are not able to make use of those funds for other reasons.

Do let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks!

That's cool.

Sounds like Luno is back (I just haven't really updated myself recently), I left Luno few years back after the problem surfaced, now can consider coming back

Luno instant buy/sell still got charge? For example if current price is 1000,
instant buy price is 1000, or 1000+charges (if charge, how much?)
then sell price is 1000-charges

if want better price, need to go exchange?

Hi chonghe,

Yes, there is a charge. We show the charge to you on the order confirmation screen. It's typically 2% +-.

If you would like to save on fees, head on over to the Exchange and just place a market order. It's the same as using the instant buy/sell but we charge up to 0.5% per successfully filled order.

This is how you can navigate to the Luno Exchange:

For web browser users that are using the computer - our current exchange is available here: https://www.luno.com/trade/XBTMYR (BTC/MYR market)

For those using their smartphones: to enable this on the Luno app (Android and iOS), just follow these steps below:

- Open your Luno app
- Click the three vertical dots (Android) / horizontal dots (iOS) in the top right corner
- Click Exchange

The charges of the exchange are available here: https://www.luno.com/en/countries
(Attached the screenshot for your ease of reference)

Do let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks!

thanks. The exchange price is always in MYR? I mean, if I put a price say RM 5,000 (when the current best sell is say RM 4,990), when ETH going up, the current best sell will surely go up, but will my RM 5,000 order stays the same at RM 5,000 (meaning it will likely get filled) or it will also go up accordingly?

Considering many new retail coming in
How long does withdrawal take on Luno lately?

Like if I withdraw before 10am, I can get at 11am as shown in the timetable? If late by few hours I am okay, but hopefully can get money in the same day if I process it before 10am
*
My recent experience is withdraw at night, can receive withdrawal complete email the next day noon time, and then got the money in bank in the evening
not bad at all, quite fast

Sorry, just want to know why the selling price without include the service charge is RM 10,105 and after deduct the service fee is RM 839.74?
*
QUOTE(raynman @ Apr 25 2021, 07:30 PM)
Luno charges 2% for direct selling.

As for the RM10,105 price of ETH at that time, I have no idea why it was that figure.
*
the figure shows 0.0847 ETH, which at a rate of RM 10105, is ~RM 856
2% charge means what you get is 0.98*856 = ~839

QUOTE(heart strings @ May 10 2021, 09:40 AM)
hi guys,

understand that the ETH address in Luno is considered as  "contract address" hence i'm not able to send ETH from Remitano to Luno. Just wondering what is this "contract address" all about. Does that mean the ETH address belongs to Luno?
Secondly, I just purchased a Ledger Nano S hardware wallet. Can i transfer the ETH from Luno to this hardware wallet? and if i do, does this "contract address" still applicable?
Kinda confuse.. rclxub.gif
*
contract address means it automatically does something when you transfer coin to the address.

If you want Remitano > Luno, then you need to do Remitano > your own address > Luno

Yes, you can transfer ETH from Luno to hardware wallet.

isn't my own address = address in Luno?
sorry, i'm bit confused hopefully u can enlighten me.
basically the ETH address in Luno is my wallet address right?
*
your own address means the address controlled by your ledger nano S. So if you have fund in Remitano, you first setup your nano S. Once setup, you have your address by ledger nano S. Sent from Remitano to this address, then you can send from this address to Luno

so let's say ETH address from Remitano is Wallet A
ETH address from Luno is Wallet B
When is setup the Ledgar Nano, will they provide a new ETH wallet which is Wallet C ?
And i transfer Wallet A to Wallet C, then Wallet C to Wallet B ?
*
Yes and yes

QUOTE(dayamin @ May 11 2021, 10:14 AM)
but by doing this , menas you get 2 time of transaction fees , no ?

why not just buy from `Luno` and transfer to LEdger Nano ?

or Binance P2P to Ledger Nano ?

why do you need to buy from remitano to get charge twice , correct me if i am wrong ( didnt read all post )
*
you can't transfer from Remi to Luno directly because it's contract address

How much luno charge per transaction? I just join Luno
*
Luno fees: https://guide.luno.com/hc/en-gb/articles/14...its-in-Malaysia
Remember to use exchange, don't use instant buying/selling. Exchange fee is much cheaper, starts from 0.35%
