Hey David, I've been seeing some comments on allegations that our Maybank account is empty and closed. This is untrue on all fronts. I've personally been to meet Maybank myself now, and all customer funds are still safe with them.
(Not sure where the "proof" that it's empty and closed came from -- but if they run a proper investigation, they'll find that it's all there, still with Maybank. I believe this is purely a case of misinformation/misunderstanding/rumours.)
Meanwhile, we continue to have daily discussions with Maybank, and if you refer to our latest status message (to be published within next couple of hours) -- you'll see that we are close to resolving the matter. We will be issuing a schedule soon on withdrawals.

Update
While we continue to work with Maybank to re-open our account, and other banks on alternate bank accounts, we have made progress with Maybank on agreeing to process withdrawals for Luno customers. We are currently working through the details on how exactly this will be done, since it involves a large number of withdrawals and amounts. We will provide a detailed schedule around withdrawals to all our customers soon, once we finalise the details with Maybank. Deposits continue to remain closed.
