Anyone hearing some news on luno and the local banks discussing measures with bank negara with regards to the anti money laundering act? Think they're targeting the big fish? Which we had more transparency on the cause of the 'technical issues.'

Realistically, how do u guys think this is going to end..i mean i don't see luno just closing off the malaysian market and heading for the hills. It's just that the amount of time their taking to resolve this is worrying and it translates to lost trades and opportunities..haizz

So it's confirmed,BNM has frozen luno's account?hmm wonder what sort of guidelines they're gonna come up to comply with the AMLA and stuff. What's most frustrating is their refusal to be transparent with us.
Just come up with a bloody deadline and propose steps that would be taken if they fail to meet it (refunds, etc). If they're having discussions with BNM,then do the responsible thing and let your clients know. I'd honestly be okay if they just came out and said 'give us 2 weeks,if all else fails we'll reinstate all your coins/funds and you can transfer them out as you wish.' They're just making things worse by parroting that same 'have patience,we're trying to solve the issue, blablabla' statement that's being thrown about for like what, more than a week? Probably lost a lot of trust from their clients by now,and a lot of people will be itching to leave their platform the minute this is resolved. |

So anyway i was digging through FB and found this comment from one of the luno malaysia pages. Not sure how true it is,but i guess at least it paints a slighty clearer picture as to what's apparently going on:-
"baru dapat info semalam. Isu luno dan maybank dah selasai. Tunggu luno announce dlm minggu ni. semua ok, back to normal. but need to fill an additional forms. what kind of forms I dont know." Make of that what u will, but at least it's something i guess. Not as bad as i feared,in some ways. |

Ok something strange just happened. My transaction went from processing to 'pending,' hence now i have a chance to cancel it. Should i just bail and go remitano?
Anyone else checked their transaction status lately? |

QUOTE(keane04 @ Dec 28 2017, 05:10 PM) mine always in "processing" Just noticed it automatically changing to 'pending' this morning. It's remained that way ever since. Strange. Requested for withdrawal on the 12th by the way. It's been ages.no way to cancel... what is the exact time it shows pending? maybe there is window of change from processing to pending and to processing again. |

QUOTE(yan7181 @ Jan 7 2018, 03:58 PM) No problem!managed to find a reliable buyer yesterday,i believe his nick was hreza66 or something, and it all went very smoothly. Initiated the trade late at night (past midnight around 12.10) and it all took less than 10 minutes. Was a bit concerned about the timing (i.e if he was asleep or something, lol) but was pleasantly surprised how simple the system works. How's your experience so far? I'd gladly recommend remitano to anyone who's got their funds / currency stuck in luno. Just be sure to check their reputation and records if u want extra peace of mind though.
