Though I've seen someone mentioned he/she managed to transfer out of luno with zero fee lately. Not sure how true that is. It'd be interesting to find others who have really transferred out with 0 fee lately (anyway, for the record this was available back in October for a short period of time).

Ah. A bitcoin maximalist. If you think the high fee issue is alright (merely because it doesn't affect you but affects many others), then by all means hold your btc till 2021 or beyond. Bitcoin is it its state today because of the developers/miners/users/you/me. End of. Don't need apologist remarks. And what do you say then about the other cryptos that can be transferred with much lower fees (because lower volume (something you read from r/Bitcoin or core/blockstream shills)? Even btc is slowly losing adoption by businesses. This can't be denied.
