I did this as you but I have cashed out all funds from there when I saw the BTC in luno was in same level as international price and liquidated back to RM.

LoL... You Please be patient and wait.

I would advise you to spend RM65 to buy some info from SSM.
*
That would mean you made no gain so why even send the BTC to Luno? All you’ve done is pay fees for no reason.

Again, you are not even know how the tactic works.

You are now stuck your money in Luno while I have liquidated the money from Luno into RM and I can redo the process.

1 Buy from R, Sell to L, get RM but get stucked.

During Jan, BTC water fall.

2. Buy BTC from L, sell to R, get back RM
*
We all know that holding RM in LUNO right now means you can't touch your RM directly via Luno, that is not disputed or even part of this discussion. Making profit from arbitrage is the point Mr big shot business man.

Buying in one exchange and selling in another simply because the exchange prices were matching is not profiting you it is merely cashing out and you'll loose money due to fees (they were at their highest when you did it btw). Congrats if that is your goal you have RM in your pocket today and I do not. If I wait till either the withdrawal opens on Luno or the exchange matches again, I too can cash out the BTC I wish to sell. However in the mean time i'm still happy to be making profit via arbitrage every time I purchase BTC and have it placed to Luno and converted to RM.

It shows you do not understand. You missed the opportunity to cash out the RM when BTC was about RM26,000 ini Luno (USD6200+) - the gap of arb has lost and I believe everyone has bought back the BTC and cashout everywhere to obtain the RM at equivalent value of the BTC = MYR to arhieve their main object to sell in Luno.

Once they got their MYR, they can repeat the same process....

I will stop here to talk further as you do not think you understand. Bye for now.
*
It shows that you don’t understand that I didn’t want to cash at that point and BTC is double in value since than. Thank god you’re not my financial advisor

My god....You use the MYR in Luno and buy from Luno and cash out from Luno to other platform... doesn't sound is doubled now or get RM and rebuy when its hit the breakout line?

From your thread asking the tax profit, it shows you are not from financial background and this simple maths to buy and sell and rebuy and resell thing you also can't understand.
*
I thought you left already . Bye bye

he bought from Remitano and sell in Luno but cant cash out RM is useless.

So the solution is how to buy back the BTC in equivalent RM and get back the same RM to bank your profit from Remitano to Luno.
*
It’s not useless at all, even if I convert back to BTC today and sell via Remitano I’ve still made more than you even with the lost I’ll take from the exchange. You panic sold...and you’re happy about it. You could have even left it on the Remitano wallet until now and made a tidy profit, but no not even that. Sleep tight

either you guys dont even have a luno account, or you possess a double digit IQ. your money is not stuck at luno. if you want to transfer your funds out simply buy bitcoin or eth and send it to your localbitcoins or remitano address.
*
I can afford to wait. Of course I know that! Why take a lost if I can wait?

Let me tell you. Malaysia is the largest market among all countries they are in.

Indonesia, Nigeria etc... Their daily volumes are less than 20 BT c
*
I don't understand why you are so against others taking advantage of arbitrage? Is it because you sold at the lowest point BTC has been in 2018, with zero arbitrage across exchanges? Is this why you feel you can lecture us?

We have different goals, objectives and risk thresholds for trading crypto.

We as the trader understand the the risk of the RM sitting in the LUNO account which we currently can not touch however we are comfortable that the situation will be resolved in due course. Yes we're not happy its taking this long but it is not panic stations as we will continue to trade it. This is the risk we take, it is not your problem to be concerned about how we do it.

Rumours and nothing more. That same person has said the same rubbish for weeks. She is just trying to play the market. There are not a huge number of us and we are all checking the same boards so it is easy for fomo to move the exchange in this current state.

ok with this timeline, i believe they will be processing those who have pending withdrawal as priority.

for those who wants to get in line, better request the withdrawal now.

they might delay or hold withdrawal for those traders who sell and withdraw the same day they open it up
to handle arbitrage traders.
*
I wouldn’t bother getting in line now, the exchange will normalise to similar rates of the other exchanges (it’s already dropping now). Once that is at the same rate buy BTC with the RM you have in Luno and cash out from other platforms if you a) need the cash and b) have been put into a cue by luno to getting you cash

In the span of 1 - 2hours the price in luno dropped and then out of nowhere the spread became 3k and the price shot up again. Tell me that's not price fixing...
*
Completely normal behaviour, people are selling their BTC to RM because they know the price is inflated on Luno and this is the last chance to play the arbitrage. There will be kick backs along the way but it will meet RM34K soon enough possible within a day even.

Once the price meets up with other exchanges people will sell their RM to BTC and move it off Luno for withdrawal elsewhere.

Any one else get an email from support@luno.com talking about level 4 upgrade? Smells like a phishing attach to me. Asking to fill in details via a google form. I'm not clicking any links on this one.

Are you mad? Why buy from Luno at the moment when it’s 5K cheaper at localbitcoin and Remitano.

The users that posted Luno is a scam are FUDers, they want you to panic so you will buy their bitcoin's in a premium price. This is a classic market manipulation attempt.

1. To call Luno inefficient , slow is acceptable but a scam, both our central bank and LHDN has a very close eye with the largest centralized bitcoin exchanger in Malaysia, if Luno was a scam don't you think it would be in the news by now?

2. Luno has a decent trading volume in other countries, Why would they close the entire operation just for scamming our country?
https://www.luno.com/en/price/

3. Their bitcoin wallet still works.

4. They actually sent a representative to lowyat which is a forum full of trolls. This was really not neccesarry.

5. Comparing to what happened to MT.Gox, and other japanese exchangers that were hacked, Luno has done better job in securing our bitcoins.

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-japan-cr...n-idUSKBN1FH03D

6. Our central bank was first unsure on what to do with cryptocurrencies

Thanks to Luno for working with BNM to formulate the policy document for digital currencies for malaysia. This is a huge plus point for the growth of cryptocurrencies in Malaysia.

Just relax and be patient, it's just a matter of time until this issue is resolved.

What an odd first post to ever make on Lowyat! Did you just get a job with them?

As expected, with the beginning of withdrawals tomorrow, the Luno exchange is now close to parity with Remitano and Localbitcoin. It is less than RM700, at times the gap was more than RM15,000 during the last 4 months. An amazing time to make money.

Now the question is should I cash out from Luno or move the RM to BTC and transfer to other exchange and cash out there? Do Luno deserve the fees they’ll charge...?

Nice. Too bad there are still no deposit functions yet.
*
While the exchange rates are now closer then have been at any time in the last 4 months it still makes no sense to make a deposit with Luno as it is still cheaper to use other exchanges. Do not be dependant on one exchange and DO NOT use Luno, or any other exchange, as a long term BTC wallet either.

Couple of unstated rules of Bitcion and life.

Don't share how many BTC or $$ you have
Don't ask how many BTC or $$ someone has.

Those days of arbitage trading where like shooting fish in a barrel. Once in a life time chance.
