NEVER hold coins in a exchange's wallet, that is Crypto 101. There have been many exchanges hacked or shut down or gone broke and people lost everything. Always put your coins in a secure wallet app, paper wallet or hardware wallet, but never leave it on an exchange wallet especially an exchange who has its bank account frozen and is being investigated by the local tax office!

TallJustin, how to print out(paper wallet),must use window or can use andriod.
Last time I buy 0.02 at Remi n withdraw n using bitaddress(via andriod phone) n print out but unable to deposit back to online platform for sell,is gone ,even the print out got bar code/square code/public n private key but cannot n lost the free BCH too because unable to deposit back online platform.I follow the guy/girl call SURAYA blog by the name like something like WHAT MILLION BLOG link to open trade acc for comisen

For my case, i transferred all coins into hardware wallet. If Luno withdrawal is up and if the btc price still higher (i doubt so) compared to other exchanges, i will transfer back and sell. For now, i keep it in my wallet first in case something bad happen to Luno.

KB2005,need ur advice what/which/how to use hardware,must use window(XP & bellow,can?),thkyou

Bitaddress.org is fine but are you following the security measures that are recommended when printing one?

Plenty of good advise on this page https://bitcoinpaperwallet.com

I bought Ledger Nano S, it uses Google Chrome. You can transfer your coins from Luno to your own wallet. However, Ledger Nano S is currently out of stock until March 2018, you can purchase from resellers in Malaysia. Besides Ledger Nano S, you can look at Trezor as well. Google for the pros and cons for both and you will find all the answer.

i dont understand. why still stay in luno? Just move out to binance or remitano.
No more worry.

Simple reason. Luno price is the highest for BTC and ETH. How many people willing to transfer to other exchanges and sell at 20% lower price? This is Luno tactic since their account being frozen by IRB. Believe me, once the account is back to normal, Luno will use market price. Again, when the account will be back to normal ? Take your own risk if still keep in Luno. You will always have the option to transfer back and sell in Luno if the withdrawal option is available.

Update - We’ve had positive meetings with the IRB this week. We are making progress and will continue updating customers regularly on this page as and when we have more details that we can share. We’ll send out wider communication via email, in the Luno apps and on social media once the issue has been completely resolved.

it is not their tactic. luno is based on supply and demand price. not follow market price. Refer to https://www.luno.com/learn/en/article/how-i...coin-calculated
when deposit and withdraw allow, got people want to buy so expensive price? wow,....no comment on that

before this incident LUNO price is already >10% higher than market price due to high demand low supply in Malaysia.

If not their tactic and it is demand and supply per link given. Then question is, will you buy BTC or ETH at 20% higher price than market price through Luno?

He/She is hiding information from us. 2 months without withdrawal is not a joke. Luno Malaysia should take it seriously instead of updating something with no timeline.

I misread. I thought he is luno staff 😅

Yeah its a little bit suspicious. Should the tax lawyer dealt with the irb, it would have beed settled already. It clearly falls under capital gain.

CoinHako seems to have a taken a precautionary approach compared to Luno which banking operations have been suspended.

since last month liao. now the working is remitano which direct buy/sell depend on which bank seller want.
if Bank negara enforce all bank in MY cannot accept deposit/withdraw then we must use foreigner bank. not easy as some korea try to suspend & block. end up open back and all want to trading must use real name & account.

this is similar like torrent. last time try to block and shutdown but now we still can use torrent to download.
