To those who are thinking of switching to Maxis, my experience with them hasn't been positive. I used Maxis for over a year and during that time, I keep getting issue with my playstation network. It would either keep getting disconnected and I have to keep resetting my PS4 network to get it working, only to have it disconnect again.

I have checked Maxis's router, which is probably the least user friendly and customizable compared to my current DIR 650L, and couldn't find anything that could possibly caused it.

Otherwise, the DL/UL speed are stable. No issue with Steam either. Never tried torrent.

The other issue that I have with Maxis is that they need to refer to TM for any issue with cable, which can take longer than just calling directly to TM under Unifi. It was far and few in between for me.

if you don't care for PS4, then Maxis's cheaper offering is better.

Sharing my experience with calling 100 to enroll in the RM10/month upgrade offer from 50 to 100Mbps.

After dialing 100 and selected my preferred language, I pressed '4' followed by '2'. After connected to a CS, I mentioned that I would like to accept the upgrade offer, even though I didn't receive the SMS. The CS then ran through some verifications to confirm that my place does have 100Mbps connectivity. After further verifications and agreeing to the TnC, I was informed that my application will be processed starting from 28/11, and that it will take 7 working days. Thus I should get an update on 7/12 to inform of completion of my upgrade order.

Keeping my fingers crossed for a trouble-free processing.

For those who call 100 for upgrading, how long the order activity get created after you had call?

Mine one 3rd day already still no order appear, but complaint ticket closed already.

Wait for a bit longer. It was the same as me and they did say that it can take *at least* 7 working days from submission date.

Update on my experience. As can be seen on my signature, the upgrade was a success. After calling 100 on 27/11, I was informed that my request will be submitted on the 28/11, and thus was expecting the upgrade to be completed earliest on 7/12. To my pleasant surprise, it was activated on 29/11. rclxm9.gif

So all is good for me. I want to congratulate TM on a job well done. Am a very satisfied customer here. rclxms.gif

Just relating my experience with my first bill.

My first bill received after upgrading to the 100Mbps plan under RYE was also confusing for me. I too was informed that I will be charged RM 189 + GST = 200.34. However, my first bill showed an amount of some RM 10 more. Like others, my bill has a list of what looked like amounts charged for previous and current plan, with various discounts applied as well. I figured that the next bill should show the exact amount, with more straightforward itemized billings, and I was right.

So, I'm glad that I didn't bother to call up TM for clarification and saved myself time and possibly sanity. Also the RM 10 extra is not going to break the bank.

To those having received their first bills, and trying to understand why you're charged higher. My advice, don't bother, and look at the second bill, then call up TM should there be any discrepancies found.

I've seen some people are fighting TM for a ridiculously small amount, less than RM 5, I just can't understand why even bother subscribing to Unifi, when there are plenty of cheaper pre-paid wireless broadband as viable alternatives.

Hope this helps.

Eh? Same case with me lah.....

At my house A, when my ex-neighbour moved out, I had difficulty in paying unifi bill for 3 months. I still made payment, but not full amount. The accrued amount accumulated for 3 months (RM300 total), yet still under credit limit. The line didn't get suspended at all for those 3 months. Eventually I was able to pay all accrued amount after getting bonus, new neighbour moved in and they agree to share the line cost.
However, at my house B (new unifi installation), due to free upgrade issue (I get the free 30 to 50 Mbps at the end), my neighbour refused to pay for 1 month. I still made payment, but not full payment. I paid RM 150 instead of RM189.74 (RM179 before GST). The credit limit was not breached. The total accrued amount was only RM39.74. YET the line was suspended 20 days after the payment due date. WTF?  ranting.gif

TM has now switched to pre-paid billing. If you don't pay up, you'll be cut. Simple as that.

Why is it so difficult to pay your bill as it is spelled out in their TnC that it is your responsibility to pay any bill. If you are not willing to pay, then use another service.
