Hi everyone.
This month I saw TM busying to install this black box on every telephone pole, is it unifi FDP?
As some of my neighbour said this is streamyx 8mbs wire.
*
This is for streanyx. The FDP for UniFi is grey or white in colour.

According to my TM contact after I send him that picture, he said this particular model integrates everything, yes, that right, it has wi-fi!!!

In the future, there will be no longer separate BTU + Wireless Router as soon as IN SEPTEMBER 2017. TM will save a lot of money from introduction of this model.
He heard it cut 60% of overall customer premise equipment cost.  hmm.gif  I don't know if he is exaggerating.......

EDIT: Don't trust my source too much ya.......after all, my contact had been wrong several times.... laugh.gif

If so, I don't think it would be as good as the TP-Link one, and we would be better off buying our own modem. Hopefully when I get UniFi by this or next month I can still get the old ones.

For high rise building use vdsl only.

But not for landed house using FTTH.

example all in one modem using asus: https://www.asus.com/sg/Networking/DSLAC68U/
For VDSL ONLY.

FTTH modem not in market.
*
Oops a typo there, should be buying own router instead of modem.

If the FDP already hung on the pole, normally how long will it take before I can subscribe?

Normally agents only able to do new application macam me.

I only in-charge for new application

For downgrading/upgrading might need to walk-in to TMpoint

the guy from tm point just called and told me that he just upgraded for me, and he asked me to restart and test. as i was busy, i didn't test, then he called me back again to ask how is it. i must admit i'm surprised with this high service level.

now waiting for him to call back again so that i can properly thank him.

to the tm point guy, if you're reading, thanks!
*
Congrats, it seems like you finally hit the jackpot. Mine will still take another two weeks if it's successfully submitted since it's new installation. rclxms.gif
