Existing 30mbps advance subscriber just ended contract on 31-Oct-2017. smile.gif

Online agent helped submitted 30mbps promotion application this afternoon. Installation scheduled on 14-Nov. Super fast service.

Once new line installed, will go for termination existing line at TM shop. Hope everything goes according to plan. Fingers crossed.

For me the Bonanza timing was simply just nice. Contract for 30mbps ended on 31-Oct-17. No penalty for termination. I was thinking of TIME 100mbps before spotted this promotion.

How it unfold....
New application was submitted on last Saturday via online agent.

Online agent sent runner to collect my thumb print and complete the registration on Monday morning.

TM installer came on Tuesday afternoon and activated the new UniFi 30mbps & HyppTV services. Got new full sets of equipment.

After that went to Tmn Desa TM Point to execute the termination of old service. Remember to return the BTU / VDSL modem to TM. The rest of equipment you could keep as spares.

Everything was done in pretty fast and decent manner. Take note that not all TM Point could process service termination. Check at 100 before you go.

nice one.  which internet you use before bonanza promo?

I was on 30mbps Advance plan with RM20 discount. So was paying RM179 before GST for past 2 years.

You change from old unifi plan to this new plan? can used back the same phone number or need to change to new number?
*
This bonanza only applicable to new application. So need to terminate/surrender the old phone number. But nowadays who does not have a mobile phone? Home fixed line just served as backup. I could save up to RM1,000 for 2 years and get new sets of equipment with 1 year warranty. smile.gif

ook. Am still considering as currently is on unifi 10mbps. paying rm149 without gst.

Why wait or what's holding you back? Save RM10 per month and get extra 20mbps + HyppTV channels (although those free channels sucks big time) smile.gif

Trust me, after 2 years there will be better deals from TM. If not change to other BB provider. Simple.

i guess i need to direct complain to MCMC, as my case is currently RM219 b4 GST for 50mbs with sport pack n 600 free call, if they request me to add in RM10 to upgrade to 100mbs then i real stupid, currently im out of contract d.
*
If already out of service contract then register new line and terminate the current one. Fast and clean cut. Is the current fixed line phone number critical to you? If not no need 2nd thought. Kasi potong tunggu apa lagi? My 2 cents.

Friend, you shouldn't keep the modem in closed ambient. You will shorten its lifespan. tongue.gif

Anyone registered new RM139 30Mbps and then add RM10 goes to 50Mbps. I am staying high rise so 50Mbps is the max I could go.

Unless your desktop is an island in the middle of a room, just get a 10m LAN cable and route it around the corners of the wall etc. A bit of work but if for gaming you will curse wifi every once in a while....

Try good quality powerline extension better than cable running around the house. Just my 2 cents.

It's all about hardware tech limitations.. From connecting device to router.. WiFi ain't magic.. For best results, be close to and in the same room as the router.. Using a supporting 5Ghz AC device, connect to the 5Ghz wireless ac network from the router. Then you should have no issues hitting 100Mbps (if available at time of testing).

2.4GHz: Wider range + Better penetration through walls + Slower speed
5Ghz: Smaller range + Worst penetration through walls + Faster speed

I use 3 bands wifi router at home

2.4ghz mixed mode for older devices
5ghz mixed mode for newer devices
5ghz AC mode only SSID hidden for wifi bridge, my phone & notebook. Constant 170Mbps no problem.

I finally can view my bill and I must say mine is totally different from you guys. laugh.gif

My monthly Internet subscription is only RM 99. laugh.gif But I have to pay for Jumbo and Ruby which is RM 90. So in total is still RM 189 without GST.

I called billing to confirm and this is also confirmed by her that my Internet is RM 99 + HyppTV RM 90. I asked if I can cancel Ruby a year later, she said it should be OK but I can only try a year later.

My breakdown:

TM's TnC will drive you crazy. Once cancel HyppTV, the broadband fee back to normal price. Don't believe? You may ask TM100. Anyone in LYN Unifi without HyppTV raise their hands.
