I've been getting random disconnections for awhile. They seem to occur randomly. Sometimes HyppTV works, the internet doesn't. Sometimes the internet works and HyppTV doesn't.

I've noticed my ASUS RT-N14UHP has these lines in its syslog.
CODE

Sep 11 13:17:25 pppd[286]: Serial link appears to be disconnected.

I enabled logging in TM's HG655m, but they're not very useful even on 'Debug' level. It just mentions when admin has logged in and when ethernet links come up and down.

SNR margins on the BTU average around 8dB, Attenuation is closer to 22dB.

Are the copper cables in my condo to blame or the BTU?

You use homeplug?

I suggest staying with your current package & work smarter to cover your expenses rather than cutting costs going to downgrade route.

Yes, try to find ways to utilize the bandwidth...for me, I set up media server 24/7 and I stream it from office during lunch time to watch all the movies I downloaded.

And the firmware version.

Resetting port can be done through Live Chat also.

Never encounter DNS down, maybe I'm using Google DNS? FYI

Don't forget the new firmware has default HyppTV preset at Port 1 instead of 4 unless you manually configure it to port 4.
Please enable 5ghz TXBeamForming at system parameter.
*
Eerrr, apa itu 5ghz TXBeamForming? Apa guna tu?

You sure it is PPPoE problem?
Wrong username or password?
Dynamic IP, get dynamically from isp.
Connection mode Auto
Wrong IPTV section settings? VLAN tagging stuff
As I SAID before....the new firmware IPTV/HYPPTV has Hypptv preset to use PORT 1 instead of usual 4.
*
Yeah, I have changed the VLAN all the "Internet" port.
Username is correct, the password given to me was a 13 alpha numeric characters, case sensitive.

Hi,

I would like to ask about Unifi installation. I found the standard installation setup as below:

[attachmentid=9404032]
However for my case the Fibre Distribution Point pole is at the back of my house. My plan is to have the modem, router etc setup in my living hall and I'm trying to avoid the cable to go thru my kitchen and dining hall as it will be messy with cable.

If I request the drop fibre to be over the top of my rooftop as per sketch above, is this consider as non standard installation?

If anyone have experience on this kind of setup, kindly share the setup cost charged to you. Thanks.
*
This is not allowed for exposing fibre to harmful UV lights emitted by the sun.
