QUOTE(jasmeet21 @ Oct 8 2017, 01:18 AM) I payed 0 cent to them, any additional charges if there are some goes into next TM bill and not into installers hand. QUOTE(soonwai @ Oct 8 2017, 02:59 AM) As bro jasmeet here said: Thanks for the reply.Make sure you do a pricepanda first. I, on the other hand, paid straight to the installer, coupon code pre-appiled if you know what I mean. But I am worry there will be any extra charges since the pole is behind my house and I wish to install all the stuffs in my living room. The distance is quite far. |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Oct 8 2017, 03:22 PM) From pole to living room should be no extra charges unless your house is extremely long. The pole is also behind my house. My neighbour's installation is to the living room. House size is 25x75. I think TM drill through 3/4 walls. No extra charge. My house is 22x70 but got few walls to go through from behind until living room. QUOTE(aneip @ Oct 8 2017, 03:25 PM) Called TM and they told me the same too, but all depends on the installer’s estimation. |

But they didn't store the extra cable in a wall box, they just threw it about my kitchen cabinet. |

Want to ask, if need to change IP, just restart the router only or both router & onu?
I always restart both. |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Oct 28 2017, 12:20 PM) There's no need to restart anything. Just disconnect your router's pppoe, wait about 10secs and reconnect. Thanks for the tips, been restarting both ever since. If you have to restart, then restart just the router. The TM given Tplink AC1200 just took so long time to boot. |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Oct 28 2017, 12:28 PM) Yeah, the C1200 is infamous for its 5min boot time. The latest firmware has improved it a bit, down to about 3mins. Have you tried it? Have to wait holiday to do these configuration things, by now stay with default first. But I see all recommend the latest EU firmware, so just flash and good to go? |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Oct 29 2017, 02:13 PM) I think it resets to defaults so you'll need to reconfigure it after flashing so take note of your Unifi username and password. Got Called TM last week but they seems only can reset and provide me a new password instead of provide me the current password. So I didn’t ask them to reset because not at home that time. Have to find free time to do these thing. |

On live chat just now.
First the operator told me can upgrade from my Advance 30 RM179 (still in contract) to Bonanza 50mbps RM189. ![]() Then almost at the end of the conversation he suddenly told me to wait official notice from TM. ![]() Hence, I was expecting replies like 'Yes sir you can only upgrade to higher plan with new contract updated' or No sir as long as you're in contract you can't modify the plan'. If I got reply 1 I can just walk-in TMPoint, leave it as it if got reply 2. But now have to walk-in TMPoint to reconfirm with them. Have to queue... sigh... |

Went TMpoint yesterday, unfortunately they don't allow me upgrade to 50mbps Bonanza RM189, only can upgrade to 100mbps Bonanza.
They told me I have to terminate my current 30mbps (still on contract) and pay for penalty only can get 50mbps Bonanza. |

QUOTE(eehong @ Dec 5 2017, 01:44 PM) I'm currently using FIBERHOME modem as given by TM last year, anyone knows whether this modem support Fast or Gigabit Ethernet? Off topic a bit, seems like all Unifi BTU have bright LED. [attachmentid=9403893] [attachmentid=9403899] my installation was supposed to be yday, but no one called to confirm. installer only called when he was coming & i told him i was already out of the house. I asked him whether do I get any new modem & router, and he said no because my contract is extended for another 2yrs, so I should get a new modem & router, right? after speedtest, DL is around 100Mbps, but UL still stucked at 20Mbps. Do I need to call TM and ask them to update in their system of my new package (100DL/50UL)? my package is: 30Mbps->50Mbps(TYC2017)->100Mbps(+RM10 upgrade) |
