UniFi router or a better branded router is placed beside the TV. All computers and devices access the Internet via WiFi. Is this practical? Is it a common practice? Or is it more practical to connect at least one computer via Ethernet?

Jump to 1:20 of the above video. It says it is recommended that all UniFi equipment be placed near the main TV for residential installation or main computer for business installation.
I'm getting residential UniFi. But is it wise to go against their recommendation and place the router next to my computer rather than my TV?
