this, i m puzzled.

u r already paying more than most others... plus, out of contract.

yet they refuse to accommodate... shakehead.gif

True. TM aren't going to answer or accommodate me. Maybe because USJ is such a high density place, losing one or two customers won't make a difference

Customer rep just came back. She couldn't offer me what I want. So I'll be porting out from Unifi this evening.
*
I'm curious, you asked them to offer you RM189 for 100M??
Why not take RM189 for 50Mbps 1st?

But I think you'll get a call after submitting cancellation.

Good price there smile.gif
Chk
1. The price is permanent or for 24 months ?
2. Got free call with the plan?
3. Give ruby unifi tv or even better if they give jumbo (got fox movie etc etc )

For ur end,  identify where to locate the btu, router, stb and the fiber route to ur house
*
Where can I get info on how to locate an ideal area for all of these? I stay in a double storey corner house.

Fiber usually they will cut long. Because not easy to put the head, easy to break. Sometime need to cut few time also. The box is use to roll the excess 1.. No problem if roll correctly.
*
Oh okay... thumbsup.gif
From the picture provided... the tech bend the fibre wire incorrectly, either purposely or unintentionally, this is not good.

Saw TM contractors begin fiber cable installation nearby my housing area. how long will it takes for them to finish their cable installation and ready for public registration?
*
Depends... mine is around three months, best practice is follow-up with TM / TM dealer on it.
Did any TM dealer (or local Residents Associations) drop any flyer / inform the Unifi is available for sign-up?

Don't think they will care about it for now, maybe you need to wait for their marketing team to call you to offer better deal after termination request submitted.

Think again. Soon they will come with the half price with the same speed promotion as per in budget 2017. Double the speed has been done last year.
While Maxis, still no news on the double speed with same price.

Anyway, it's up to you.

Damn,. Sorry to hear that. That's quite unfair. I suggest you try again.. But this time penning a letter requesting what others are getting easy. Point out how long you've been a customer etc.. This is better done at their HQ.. Also include inside that you'll be contacting the various authorities to complain about the injustice pricing. From all I've read over the years, Unifi > Maxis.. Both CS and performance perspective.

Anyone here knows how to auto rescheduled to reboot router everday for ASUS ?
*
IMO, not advisable.. Those buggers are built to run for days on end without manual reboot. If not hardware or firmware issue.

U might need to search in this sub forum. Look for Bro avfan comment on some of the common problem with wifi connection.
For a start maybe can described about ur house length, got any wall in between, where's u put ur tv or family lounge , ur computer, the incoming fiber cable thru 1st floor or 2nd floor, .. how many devices connected all the time ...
Got many variable's haha
Maybe others can comment..n some sketch might helps.

Because I'm paying RM199 excl. GST for a 50Mbps for quite some time, while others been paying RM199 excl. GST for 100Mbps. So, yeah. No use to get RM10 reduction for 50Mbps plus 2 years contract. My contract ended on November last year, and I've been waiting for TM to offer me 100Mbps.

Why not just ask for RM199 for 100Mbps?
Btw, RM199 100M is new promo, or offered for customer retention.

You know your area is fiber port saturated and you still want to cancel?
You'll regret this after they allocate it to other customer, unifi and maxis share the same port.

I did ask that. But they offered me RM219 for 100Mbps. I told them that's ridiculous as other people been reporting to get 100Mbps for RM199

And I don't really mind because it's either they give me 100Mbps for the same amount I've been paying, or I'll port out. They told me to downgrade, but I told them if I'm using RM139 plan, might as well I use Maxis fiber, and give TM run for their money.

Well, my parents are going to use the Internet here as I'm stationed in Pahang.

I read some posts on other threads where Streamyx users being offered upgrade to Unifi 10M but keep paying the same current Streamyx price like RM88.

imo...if ur parent is the user then might as well get the 30mbps rm139...much more value for money.
Even though it will be on 24 months contract normally tm will hv promo at the of the year n logically u will get the speed increased from 30 to 50 n 100 at lower priced from most of us here coz of ur lower start price i.e rm139

Like that you just downgrade to 30Mbps and save whopping RM60 every month...Especially if it's mostly parental usage. Save your money.. Later can ask to add RM10 to bump back to 50Mbps..or who knows, they might be the one to call you to offer. Either way, I still say downgrade and then you continue the fight at your leisure. No point continually overpaying.
