QUOTE(Eithanius @ Feb 5 2018, 01:37 PM) If modified plan from current plan then that depends on T & C and if the discount is permanent or not. For termination and reapplication, means it's a "new" plan and so pricing should remain RM139 after the 2 years contract. So be careful and triple confirm everything before you agree to anything. Cuz once locked in and contract refreshed, can't easily back out or make free changes. Lastly, if still using older equipments, make sure to negotiate for new ones too. |

QUOTE(wwloon @ Feb 5 2018, 11:24 AM) I upgraded my 50mbps package (RM179 monthly) to 100mbps (RM189 monthly) in November 2017. At the beginning, TM made a mess in my billing but has since made amends. Just wondering where I can get the above breakdown details from the unifi.com.my site?I would like to check whether users who are also 100mbps (RM189) subscribers have the following package discounts (can check on Unifi's website)... [attachmentid=9570461] Any idea why the Internet discount is separated into two (RM150+RM50) instead of just a single RM200 discount? I worry one portion of it is given for a limited time only. I think I used to be able to view such details from the occ unify site, but now at the new site unifi.com.my, I can't see such details. |

QUOTE(wong_86 @ Jan 31 2018, 09:34 PM) Last Sunday went to TMpoint inquiry my unifi package, reduce the price to RM189 for 100mbps Updated *At first, she said this price is for the new line, if want to apply new line, had to terminate current one. I said this is waste so much time, after that she went to look for her boss. She said boss agree to reduce to RM189. [attachmentid=9561330] I saw many forumers' hyyptv is jumbo pack, possible change the hypptv package? the current one is Ruby pack 2 = RM40 Yesterday went to Tmpoint to request add Jumbo Pack in my package, but they said cannot add, need terminate current and re-apply new one. But i think this price is already quite reasonable , so decide change ruby pack to jumbo lite , they change for me without any charges. Summary: 100mbps + STD20+ Jumbo Lite = RM 189 exclude GST can save RM600 per year, ok la This post has been edited by wong_86: Feb 5 2018, 03:04 PM |

TM starting capping bandwidth?
I notice nowadays the speed top around 200kBps. Once I turn on VPN, then only I can achieve speed 2MBps. Using Unifi 50Mbps |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Feb 5 2018, 11:51 AM) Yes, everyone is RM 150 + 50. Thanks for the clarification! You will see RM 200 discount in statement anyway. Even if it is a limited time, it is going to last for 2 years but I don't bother, God knows what will happen 2 years later. TM did promise it is perpetual though. |

QUOTE(PJng @ Feb 6 2018, 01:03 PM) Easy. There are so many compatible ones.. Go to shop also you can see they are labeled on the box as Unifi and or Streamyx compatible. If I'm not mistaken, all Official Asus RT models sold in Malaysia supports. Read the past few pages also, you'll definitely see confirmed suggestions. |

QUOTE(PJng @ Feb 6 2018, 01:03 PM) To be fair, they are now issuing better routers for Unifi subscribers, but not by much. What is your budget? Too many to recommend without knowing your budget. If you want reliable and bit more expensive, go for Asus. I personally would buy TP-Link myself but ignore buying the C1200 as there are many issues with that. I would recommend the TP-Link C7 v4. You can get it here: https://www.lazada.com.my/tp-link-ac1750-wi...is-1774185.html The seller will ship v4 to you, although it says that it is v2 on the ad. |

QUOTE(lyc1982 @ Feb 6 2018, 01:45 PM) IMO, Asus has one of the most easiest and pleasant looking GUI. Has a quick setup internet feature. TP-Link is nice too, comes with a basic setup page and has help notes with descriptions of what terms mean and do. Just follow the prompts and you should be fine. Though in all fairness, all brands and models operate in the same way, just need to locate the key settings and setup.. Anything else are considered extra features for fine-tuning performance levels. |
