Streamyx is good, but the extra bandwidth is better for
gaming, better for watching higher quality YouTube videos, faster loading for browsing websites, which saves you time, and faster speed for downloading torrents.

Honestly bro, you are lucky to have Unifi Lite, as most people want Unifi, but unable to get it and still stuck on
Streamyx, which is not ideal for doing many things.

Yeah, very grateful right now. icon_rolleyes.gif

One of the advantage is having lower latency on Unifi over the streamyx. It's not noticeable for casual users that browse but for gamers, this is very noticeable.

I was paying RM179 (w/o GST) for 50M and got upgraded to RYE2017 100M for RM10 on 28th Nov. Just got my bill RM199.33 (w/o GST) and RM211.29 (w GST). No charges on normal phone calls.

So any idea what's wrong with this calculation? I thought the figures due to pro-rata, should be between RM179 to RM189 (w/o GST) right? Or do i need to make advance payment due to the upgrade? I am not a new Unifi subscriber.

You still need to pay full RM 189 for next month.
Pro-rated+full month. You can see the duration in statement.

Thanks for the input but I still don't understand the calculation.
Let's exclude any GST for easier calculation.

I already paid RM179 last cycle as advance payment for this current cycle. The pro-rated difference, since I am using RYE in the "middle' of the cycle, will be no more than RM10. Even if I started using it, the difference is only at RM10.

So at the maximum, the amount i need to pay is RM10 (pro-rated) +RM189 (full month for next cycle's advance payment). This turns out to be at most RM199. So what does this RM0.33 comes from?

Once again, i am quoting figures without GST included.

Unstable with 2.4Ghz, but this speed range. 5Ghz signal loss is about -52dbm while 2.4Ghz -66 to -70-80dbm cause unstable. Using TM provided TP-LINK C5.

Just got my 100mbps today.

Yes... similar result like yours.

Tm supplied tplink 1200.

Ethernet, no sweat... 105mbps.

Wifi 5ghz... 95 at 10ft, 85 at 30ft, 75 at 50ft.

Wifi 2.4ghz... crap...25 to 50 only.

My old asus rtn12hp can do better on wifi 2.4ghz, but only 95 with ethernet.

Will consider new router...

Anyone using asus ac1300uhp... good enough for wifi 2.4ghz?

I got a few old devices that can only run on this freq, wifi.

You just divide RM10 by 30 days and time the day where your service activated until the end of the prorated month and plus with your RM189.then after gst, u will get the same amount per statement.because the prorated come during the service activated.correct me if I am wrong.

2.4GHz is well known for its congestion and interference from other devices and it is no surprise that you can’t reach full speed.

Lucky you. You must be at a place where the wireless network is less congested and have no interference from other wireless devices.

Dont forget, pro-rate actually for Jumbo Pack RM60 if before no jumbo pack. New HSI pro-rate charge already covered by previous old HSI charge and some more pro-rate RM10

We will be paying more for unlimited internet if there is a cap on data usage

i think they will likely to only implement (or should say enforce since it is already in the clauses) the quota system if there is congestion or too many subscribers.
