May I know how did you get the following items:
- Voice Premium Calls (Barring IDD Call + 600)
- InfoBlast
- Residential Internet Security
- Online Guard Plus

What's this 'Voice Premium Calls (Barring IDD Call + 600)' for?

QUOTE(Xefron @ Dec 4 2017, 11:49 AM)
your pack is worth

RM 299+RM20+RM60 = RM379.

RM150 discount so far, paying only RM229 exclusive GST.

*
I thought his pack is worth:
RM 299 + RM30 (HyppTV) + RM60 = RM389?
His STD20 is free.
(once his account is corrected, he should be getting RM200 discount = RM150 promo discount + RM50 special discount)

Should be RM299 Internet +60 Jumbo +20 Voice STD-20 waive back STD 20 - RM150 Promo = RM209

Promo discount and special discount cannot co exist.
*
Sorry but I beg to differ. My dashboard has the following:
Promo Discount RM150
Promo Discount Perpetual
UniFi Special Discount RM50

I believe soonwai will get the same once his dashboard is fixed.
I doubt his would be Promo Discount RM200.
(he will still get RM200 in total for discount).

Some users have posted dashboard details which show both promo and special discounts together, eg promo RM150 and special RM50 to make total of RM200 discount.

Your earlier post mentioned SAVE discount.  Is that same as special?
*
That post also mentioned that SAVE discount cannot co-exist with the promo discount.
Despite some differences here and there, that post is very informational and really enlightening. thumbsup.gif
Let us share more of such info.

QUOTE(soonwai @ Dec 4 2017, 12:35 PM)
Mine is like this:

Before (TQ Surprise 50mbps) RM179
50mbps 219 + Ruby 30 = 249 less discount 70 = RM179

After (RM10 upgrade 100mbps) RM189
100mbps 299 +STD20 0 + Ruby 30 + Jumbo 60 = 389 less discount 200 = RM189
*
Similar to most of us, I believe.

the promo discount and special discount can co exist technically. sweat.gif

so i just partially correct and wrong.technically supported but not business wise.i doubt in business process, they allowed mixed of special and promo discount together except for special case like in RYE mode.

I think TM has many special cases tongue.gif

QUOTE(Xefron @ Dec 4 2017, 01:39 PM)
PM Najib approved! Maybe I should make a call too although my TQ campaign already has lower RM per Mb. hmm.gif
*
What's your speed and package now?
Your RM per Mb is much lower?

QUOTE(m3lover @ Dec 4 2017, 01:53 PM)
As for now i only get
Promo Discount RM150
Promo Discount Perpetual

Based on the TM Point CS, she will update again my profile with another RM50 discount tomorrow. Lets see how tomorrow.

By the way, is my modem supported 100mbps ? I'm using ONU-Alcatel-Lucent-I240G since 30mbps. That installer just replaced my router to TP-Link Acher 1200 (existing D-link DIR615)
*
Did you ask whether the RM50 discount is perpetual?

All is good. Both your modem and router models support 100mbps biggrin.gif

Yes, they'll update your profile to include UniFi Special Discount RM50. I upgraded mine to 100Mbps last Saturday and today they only added the RM50 Special Discount.
*
I have been wondering these few days.
Shouldn't TM also add in a line item called 'Unifi Special Discount Perpetual'?
The 'Promo Discount Perpetual' seems to give an impression that the perpetual discount applies to 'Promo Discount RM150', but not the Rm50 discount.

QUOTE(jusbella @ Dec 4 2017, 06:04 PM)
No, voice premium is 600 minutes call to mobile and other telco fixed line.
*
I read somewhere that 'Voice Premium Calls (Barring IDD Calls +600)' = Allows the user to restrict outgoing IDD calls and 600 numbers. Not really sure what these 600 numbers are since I don't have this line item.

Free upgrade? From what speed to what speed?

QUOTE(Xefron @ Dec 4 2017, 06:22 PM)
UniFi special discount is perpetual in nature. but not promo discount.that's why u saw the perpetual part of promo discount.

Sounds good but are you sure about this? I am hoping it is written somewhere on their website hmm.gif

QUOTE(#Victor @ Dec 4 2017, 06:56 PM)
Anyone got clue for VoIP call forwarding? Based on info from TM website
*
I am not an expert but I think that since your given Unifi phone is connected to the modem using digital connection instead of analog, you are actually using VoIP. So this means that this option just allow you to configure calls to be forwarded from your 'VoIP' phone.

QUOTE(cyclone2 @ Dec 4 2017, 06:57 PM)
Funny thing is I saw in my unifi account there is an complaint report created and closed @ 9.12AM. But no order created yet...... hopefully tomorrow can see the order creation....

According to the CS, mine one monthly paying RM 199 before GST. This month going to pro rated.
*
The 'complaint report' is actually your request for upgrade.
RM199 after the RM10 top-up to 100mbps?

Many people seems to think so but it's quite often misunderstood. No thanks to the figure 600. Voice Premium 1800 are never charged if it's toll-free. (which implies that there're are non-toll-free 1800 numbers?)
*
Great info.
AFAIK, 1800 is toll-free.
Some telcos (like Celcom) offers unlimited local calls as part of the mobile plan package but it doesn't cover 1800 numbers. This means usual charges are applied if you call 1800 from a Celcom line. So in this case, 1800 is considered non-toll-free?

Maxis is quite clear on this. I’m using Maxis Oneplan with unlimited calls.
123 Maxis CS is of course free
1800 is free
1300 is chargeable.
Special numbers like 100 for TM or 15454 for TNB are chargeable.
*
I read that Celcom is different. All local calls are free except for all these numbers which include 1300, 1800, 100 (which wouldn't work on Celcom line), TNB etc.

Finally upgraded from 30mbps to 100mbps. Quite surprised when I asked TM Point what are my options.

Was given two options :

1. +RM10/month upgrade to 50mbps or
2. +Rm10/month straight to 100mbps

...and of course I chose the later option  biggrin.gif

*
Congrats rclxms.gif

You previous speed was 30mbps. Were you supposed to get a free upgrade to 50mbps before you request the 100mbps RM10 upgrade?

No takers from them?
Probably they have very deep pockets to spend on mobile data plan instead of Unifi?
Or these folks busy doing business or travelling overseas now la lol

Nope no change in speed, no SMS on the installer’s contact as well. Probably it’s going to be on Wednesday instead as per what is in their system, yes morning session.

So they not coming today?

How about 100? Toll free?
*
Updated:
If you call from TM line, 100 is free. You could call 100 from non-TM line but it is chargeable. As for me, I have free calls on my mobile plan that excludes 100 as a free number. So I have to call a non-tollfree number as a replacement for 100.

QUOTE(gahkin @ Dec 5 2017, 09:46 PM)
so this rm10 upgrade tm side shoudl provide us new router right ?
*
That depends on how old your modem is and whether it supports the speed you are upgrading to.
Mine is less than a year and it supports the upgraded speed.
So I didn't get any new stuff.

QUOTE(christina1 @ Dec 5 2017, 10:24 PM)
A lot of difference 50 to 100Mbps ?
*
That depends on what you use it for. If you are a heavy gamer or download a lots of stuff, then there are differences but it is still limited by the bandwidth and connection to that server (among other things like traffic etc) especially overseas servers. If not, then you won't feel much difference.

QUOTE(christina1 @ Dec 5 2017, 10:29 PM)
OK does single digit ping also depends on what kind of high end router you are using ?
*
Mine also single digit and I have been using TM stock routers, and on wireless connection like yours smile.gif

I think quite a number of us do not have this discount shown on the portal after the upgrade, and it will only appear after we make a report. I got mine about 1-2 days after the report was made.

If you are buying on your own instead of getting this model from TM, why not buy a better model?

The latest phone support channel bonding, but the older phone doesn’t. You need channel bonding for WiFi to achieve the maximum speed. Keep in mind that channel bonding is only appropriate and optimized for 5GHz, and not 2.4GHz.
*
This means, in order to get 100Mbps, the phone needs to use 5Ghz? Can 2.4Ghz allows the phone to achieve 100Mbps?

residential internet security
online guard plus

I am curious about these too and also tried to get answers using a couple of threads several pages back but not solid advise yet. I also tried TM Point but they confused it with the RG (router gateway).

QUOTE(zher4883 @ Dec 11 2017, 10:52 PM)
If there's no inteference (no wireless dect phone, microwave oven, bluetooth device, wireless device and also no neighbor broadcasting wifi) and also good signal quality, you could. Otherwise, you would need to use wifi on the 5GHz to achieve it.
*
Ah, it makes sense now. Thanks!

Hi Sifus, I just upgraded my Unifi Lite to Advance 30mbps, the installer gave me a Hypptv box and he said it can only be connected to modem by LAN cable.

Now my TV is at Ground floor and the Modem at 1st floor.  Hypptv box really cannot be connected by Wifi?  Is there any methods to solve this?

Is it suggested to pull a new LAN Cable from 1st floor to Ground Floor?  How much will it costs?
*
AFAIK, TM's HyppTV box (called the Set Top Box or STB) has to be connected using cable (via port 4 on your router) in order to watch HyppTV on your TV. This is by default.
The box could still connect to your Wifi but that is for browsing the internet using your TV.
I read that someone configured it to watch HyppTV using wifi but I have not tried it myself and I am not sure if it still works:
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3790881/all

If the above fails, then you could either use a LAN cable or purchase a pair of Powerlines. LAN cable is cheaper but it is messy if you do it yourself. I know someone paid around RM100 just to install the cable and pinned it on the wall. If you want it hidden on the wall, that would be more expensive. Some do charge by the length of the cable too.

Powerlines will cause you less headache provided your house is not using 3 phases electricity and the lines are in good condition.

I was paying RM179 (w/o GST) for 50M and got upgraded to RYE2017 100M for RM10 on 28th Nov. Just got my bill RM199.33 (w/o GST) and RM211.29 (w GST). No charges on normal phone calls.

So any idea what's wrong with this calculation? I thought the figures due to pro-rata, should be between RM179 to RM189 (w/o GST) right? Or do i need to make advance payment due to the upgrade? I am not a new Unifi subscriber.
