Hi, recently i always been prompted "dns server not found" when browsing but the weird thing is my download still continue. Then i have to wait for 30-60 mins and the internet will come back. Wired or Wifi also same. This only happens recently. Do you guys experience it before? Thanks.

wah, i usually get dns server not found also completely everything stop include downloads and internet rclxub.gif

Fiber cable issue, try check ur fiber cable from inside house till outside of ur house see got any putus or not.

hmm...now u mentioned this, the cable that connect from outside house into my house to the fiber wall socket, it is supposed to have 1 line not connect into it? i can't remember how it is d, but macam got 1 line is not connected in to. now at office can't check d sad.gif

fiber line should be connected at all time.

hey guys. wanna ask. how long does tm come and install unifi at house once submit application?

i apply through online agent. and the agent came to my house to get IC thumbprint authentication.

another question is that the unifi box is directly outside my house. next to my gate. when i when to TMpoint and check for unifi availability . they cant find my house number inside their unifi system. is that normal?

normally need to apply unifi first then they only update their system?

That means it's not activated yet. My sister waited them for more than 3 months to activate after white box installed in front of her house.
TM will call to inform you when it's ready else you can check the coverage yourself from time to time.

Have anybody using unifi that's area? They might missed ur house number or the Infra is not ready yet.

my house number is 3.

my next door neighbor is 5. 5. Jalan Vista Kirana 3. Is in the system. mine 3. Jalan Vista Kirana 3 is not in the system.

the green box. is directly at my front gate. where i put the rubbish bin. how can it be not activated ?

If somebody used it, then it's activated.. Ask the TM to check ur neighbour number.. Like I said sometimes they miss to put the house number. Can ask for their technician for site visit also. My office case, they said port full. But I can clearly see there are new box at the same place that's a still available. Give the box number and their agreed to come and check.

What's I mean by not activated is, most of the time the green box just finish. It's take months to lay the cable and activate the point. My area last time, half of the taman get Unifi 3 month earliers than my half. Even the green box finish the same time.

if your neighbour got unifi but you don't, that could mean the ports on the DP in front of your house is already full.

if that's the case, then i wish you good luck because i was also in the same situation, i had to wait 3 months before a port was available for me to install unifi.

Well, nothing unusual. My sister's neighbour living opposite of her house got it first before her, it was activated earlier than hers. Your neighbour may not be using the same box as yours.

So ... some advise to you guys who's getting the upgrade ...
If you're upgrading to to 50mb or anything less, TM will just ask you to restart your router. No technician will come over and no hardware change.

If you're upgrading to 100mb, technician will come and replace the BTU and Router, this is part of the upgrade package from TM. The BTU and WiFi Router needs to have Gigabit ports to be able to achieve 100mbps service.

The technician that came, tried to pull a fast one on me, I was using the 1st type of Huawei that TM provided 7 yrs ago. Second technician came and replace it after I made a complain to TM.

Usually same road activate together.. But if port full than it;s different story.

to be honest. not many people using unifi at my taman.

the green box is everywhere within my taman.

you can search my location. 3, Jalan Vista Kirana 3, Taman Vista Kirana, Ayer Keroh, 75450 Melaka.

my that jalan. Jalan Vista Kirana 3, only got 2 house in the system . No. 5, 8.

Cannot be all green box port full liao

last week. i went to tm point. tm said that need to register and apply for unifi first. only can see my house number in the coverage system. is that true?

coz she said that the unifi port green box all installed to individual house. donno how true is that?

you can ask agent or reseller to search for you. there's a list of agents on the first page of the unifi lite thread. they can do a better job then the stupid TM system.

last time i was also in the same situation like you. the system cannot find my house & when i ask an agent to search for me, he said my area already port full. sweat.gif
