nope, but as I said in above post
if direct connect to router can achieve full speed, if connect through wi-fi extender then cannot get full speed
so I don't think is relate to the IP address as wi-fi extender is just give me better wi-fi signal with further expand the wi-fi coverage area rclxub.gif

Try to restart few times & re-run the test before you suspect anything. icon_rolleyes.gif

Powerline is more stable than wifi extender, but depend your house electrical wiring too. Majority houses wiring is like shit!

Any TP-Link Powerline within your budget will do. (They will suggest accordingly your needs)

If you wish to future proof your home to fully utilize your internet connection, then straight away go to Cat 7 cable (need to spend more money) or if you planning to upgrade in future, then go with Cat 6. Some Cat 5e don't support 100Mbps.
*
Hello, Cat5e support 1000Mbps. wink.gif There's no point getting Cat7. Cat5e is more than enough & if the price gap is not huge then can consider Cat6.

My friend, please look at the word, "SOME". Im personally using two cat5e cables and one of them don't support for 100/1000Mbps and another one supports 100/1000Mbps. Speedtest shows the cat5e (which dont support) only able to hit 94Mbps+ while the cat 5e that supports 100Mbps hits up until 102Mbps. The ethernet adapter were set to 1.0gbps full duplex.

At the end of the day, that is not a normal Cat5e. sweat.gif

I went to the nearest TM Point, they stated you need to receive the SMS to prove that you're valid to the offer so I talked nicely with the girl, she checked my account & found out is available to upgrade.

Previously 30 Mbps (Free upgrade 50 Mbps) + Ruby = RM 189.75 included GST.

Now 100 Mbps + Jumbo Pack + 600 min free call = RM 189.00 excluded GST.

My bro GF house doesn't have Hypptv which pay less than mine.

trust me, those 100 and live chat talk different with TM point
I start using my unifi on December 2012, straight away went to TM point and ask for upgrade to bonanza 30 mbps, wait 2 days upgraded already whistling.gif
since your STB is broken then is up to you then biggrin.gif
*
Depend if you're the lucky one that meet an honest operator so I strongly suggest walking to the nearest TM Point & if you failed to upgrade, try another one or different operator with different day.

For 'bumiputera' is easier to apply anything brows.gif . FYI, if your previous contact doesn't have HyppTV, they might to force you apply. rolleyes.gif

Did you have 600min free calls before the upgrade? Cause got conflicting reports. Some say the RM10 upgrade will also give 600mins, same say no.
*
I don't have the 600 min free calls before the upgrade. doh.gif Today just went to TM Point & I'll test the free call once I received the upgrade.

FYI, any call you made included local call will be charged & my plan is 30 Mbps > 50 Mbps (Thank You Surprise) gift! I remember that time I also confused with the free call. rclxub.gif

My town started having UNIFI coverage in 2016 & my area considered a 3rd batch. The 1st batch user doesn't come with HyppTV package & plainly just the Archer C5 (V1 or V2) depend & they pay lesser + received the (Thank You Surprise) gift too!.

my original plan TQ Surprise 50Mbps/rm179 does not come with any free calls, hence when i upgraded it to 100Mbps, I do not get any 600min free calls, according to the CS there, it follows your existing deal, what ever you have currently will be continue.  Add RM10 is just to upgrade it to 100Mbps. Some might get the jumbo pack as well but for my case, i do not get it at all, so my rm10 upgrade is only merely for upgrade form 50Mbps to 100Mbps, nothing more, nothing less.  I also dunno why I could not get the Jumbo pack.  CS tried to do it for me but system dont allow unless I am willing to pay rm219 for it.  Some get it, some dont, dunno how TM decide on that
*
This one I can't confirm yet because I haven't really received the upgrade. If really happened, I'd ask them to remove the HyppTV & request for a lower payment. The operator keeps insisting that this package is for selected users only (depending HQ KL) & procedure is must receive the SMS notification for the upgrade.

Talk nicely & politely with them. Most importantly, speak BM (fasih + pelat) icon_idea.gif By the way, I don't receive any SMS.

I saw the operator selected one of the 3 options which included Jumbo packs & free calls (600 min) + free TM-TM.

Ignored the SMS & very often ASTRO operator called me to claim reward point as an opening, then start asking for upgrading the PVR.

Once dealing with money stuff just walk in & technical issue just call 100.

Probably and more, because the TnC, read to me, includes "Terminating Jumbo Pack or STD20 will remove discount." Throughout the registration, the discount is mentioned as RM200.
(100mbps 299 + Existing Ruby 30 + Jumbo 60 = 389 less discount 200 = RM189)
*
Yeah, I saw the T&C, but you should know our beloved country can do anything they like. nod.gif

Have you received the 100 Mbps upgrade?

should I upgrade also?  hmm.gif
189 + 6% = RM200.34 just slightly past 200 for 100 down 50 up internet  hmm.gif

just wish TM upgrading their ping connection to SG servers. sometime 1xx ping even to SG  rolleyes.gif

If you're not staying on the South side, then avoid using SG servers. My worst case scenario is around 12 ms (SG servers)

@lyc1982 Weird, why need 7 working days? The operator said within 24 hours or the next day.

I'm still waiting for the upgrade & I've turned the HyppTV on for 24 hours too.

Should be won’t activate new plan until technician replaces the equipment. So hopefully technician will call soon.

With just a few clicks, the port will be available to upgrade 50 > 100 Mbps.

Replacement for equipment like old BTU or router (Maybe)
