QUOTE(abcdef123456 @ Dec 22 2017, 09:17 AM) Appreciate your feedback, is this the firmware version u have since you got your c5 router?sorry, im noob on this. Also, is your ipv6 enabled or disabled?Or any other thing you did on your setting to maximize the wifi performance? yes, never upgrade firmware before. stock firmware. ipv6 disabled. google dns servers: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 NAT Boost : disabled. i can get almost 11MB/s of download speed. QUOTE(abcdef123456 @ Dec 22 2017, 09:40 AM) Thanks bro, I usually set it to google dns servers on my dekstop and laptop itself, any difference? Mine is 30Mbps Unifi, so max download speed at 3+MB/s. ok what 30Mbps you supposed to get 3MB/s of speed. nothing wrong.

QUOTE(noobandroid @ Dec 22 2017, 09:56 AM) i enabled nat boost, ipv6 enabled and updated firmware from tplink my i did a trial and error many times and concluded that NAT boost disable works the best for me. i used to have issue with my unifi on video streaming at the start. but i had managed to resolve it after i discovered this.

QUOTE(stephantsen @ Dec 26 2017, 07:14 PM) direct complain to mcmc. dont waste time. i receive call from tm within 3 hours after i made a report at mcmc. talk with them more than an hour and they agreed to reduce my price to 189 but they will withdraw STD20 from my account. so it means that for existing customers who paid higher price for higher plan, even with complaint the deal is still poorer than rm10 upgrade, either no STD20 or the price is only valid for 2 years etc. conclusion is still always to keep at the lowest possible plan and wait for upgrade offer from TM later.

QUOTE(voncrane @ Dec 28 2017, 12:14 PM) True.. No matter which way the wind blows, the government never loses. But at least, let end users be happy with services at fair pricing. I agree.. As you say, we can only dream and hope it becomes a favorable reality. From day one, TM hinted at capping speeds.. So far, still unlimited and we pray it stays that way.. 60GB limit per month is absurd in this day and age of fast high res media consumption and gaming. with the speed nowadays especially 100Mbps,, even one day 1TB of usage also possible.

QUOTE(muscaa @ Dec 28 2017, 02:46 PM) We will be paying more for unlimited internet if there is a cap on data usage i think they will likely to only implement (or should say enforce since it is already in the clauses) the quota system if there is congestion or too many subscribers.

QUOTE(christina1 @ Feb 22 2018, 11:46 AM) Ok..was thinking UNIFI are giving more discount for 100Mbps now... if there is rumors that 100Mbps will be cheaper, i think it is the way to go? Since for most of us, the breakdown shows that is the maximum discount they can give to the broadband service (unifi) alone WITHOUT HyppTV or other things. if no HyppTV or other things, the price can go really really low.

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Feb 22 2018, 03:47 PM) not really... it is a matter of biz strategy and revenue & cost allocation. it will be unwise for unifi to junk unifitv so as to offer low internet prices. in time to come, when their muscle gets bigger, they can bring EPL, Sky, Bein and other premium channels. and/or upgrade unifi playtv to HD - that's when they can even raise prices on unifi tv. they way they are doing it now is to accurately allocate their relevant costs to the specific profit centers while allowing marketing to do an effective job. dun know what is their plan always. but i only know that, there is always 'last mover's advantage'. over the many years, there is always 'better' package offered to the those who had not upgraded earlier.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Feb 28 2018, 09:41 AM) RM 149 wow. I don't think applicable to existing users oh.. Existing users tio pwned again. 😱 QUOTE(akping_1 @ Feb 28 2018, 10:45 AM) i think is hard for u to complain, they can claim RM149 is without Hypptv, and if u currently under RM189 for 100Mbps, u will notice your cost for INTERNET ONLY is RM99 after RM200 rebate. this is what I noticed previously also. It is probably the ‘cheapest’ price they can give for the unifi 100Mbps (Internet only). This post has been edited by westlife: Mar 6 2018, 06:12 PM
