Yours is first case, I hope others didn't get this issue. Already clocked at almost 18K right now so far only rattling dashboard . Yes supposed to be like this, our car aren't equipped with back passenger safety belt notification, you know how malaysian is, if front rarely use them. Back would be like watching dinosaur exist again.
Not really first case. I posted the photo on fb persona group, within 5 min got a reply from another owner with same issue
Just went for first service. Not very happy right now. The service staff at the counter told me that i have free 5 years service. Ok. Good. Then she say the free service only eligible for semi synthetic oil. Ok. Good. Now here comes the nt very happy part.
She told me if i would like to upgrade to fully synthetic. I say its ok and i would stick to the free semi synthetic. Then she say ur next service would be 10,000 km or 6 months. But semi synthetic only can last the most 5,000 km. If there is any problem in ur car if u travel more than 5,000 km, then its ur fault. What!!!
Is she threatening me to upgrade?? What u all think?? On the other hand, if proton knows the semi synthetic cant handle till 10,000 km, why implement it as free service? And charge customer by upgrading to fully synthetic?? Some of u will say come on, only add a few ringgit... What the fuss!! But..if there are customer that are nt well to do as myself who depends on the free service, then this makes me wry whether that semi synthetic oil is sufficient or nt..
Which SC is this? Pls inform Proton either via FB or email. Semi is good enuf for 10k or more
Hey guys what are ur fuel consumption on the persona? From full tank to fuel reserve indicator light coming is 483.1km (80%highway 20% jam) for me. These are my calculations: 483.1KM / 34L petrol = 14.2KM/L
14.2KM/L = 7.04L/100KM
The fuel consumption of this car is pretty good in my opinion but it can be better. I was driving at constant 85-90kmh most of the time and also my throttle input is as minimal as possible to get up to speed. But the in car fuel consumption display panel shows 6.2L/100km haha i think they are too optimistic.
Thats very good. Mymillage now is 3k, and FC always around 10~11KM/L
And the altis is fully paid. So if i were to sell of this car and get persona, i would get the new car + extra cash as well.
Given your altis only 3y and no outstanding loan... if dont really need cash urgently no point to swap.
Specwise, of cuz new persona will win hands down, cause new technology appear everyday. But spec only looks good if u compare it on paper. U have overlook another important aspect, which is implementation and workmanship of the manufacturer.
Happened to me also 1st thought oil sump bocor hit rock or something No oil trace on dipstick when check Bought another bottle 3 liter engine oil topup This problem happened after 1 month of 1st service
Lucky there is service centre in Senawang open on Sunday Same problem of broken oil filter seal
Wow, i thought I am just being unlucky! looks like now even oil filter have quality problem with proton.
My wife's car started to develop rattle at the meter cluster area. This car is fairly new, has not even go for the first service yet.
Has anyone got the rattle in the dashboard fixed by SC? Is it going to be permanent or we just have to live with it? This unit should have the noise kit fixed already
Noise insulation is fairly good, but I found out that there are humming / booming noise when I drive at certain speed and also when going over those yellow line small speed bumps.
mine have the rattling noise on the first week. so far, I havent come across anyone who have its rattling noise solved satisfactory by SC yet. If any of you had, pls share info here.
I don't know what grr grrr sound lei... mine don't have such sound... all gears are the same mind to share some video?
ESC = Electronic stability control This function is a computerized technology that improves a vehicle's stability by detecting and reducing loss of traction by braking your wheels individually so you don't lost track and went out of control. At the same time, wheels spin will be prevented when this ESC is on which result in pick up not that fast because of the power cut off
Notice around 16 seconds the car is losing traction and esc corrected back
scary moment, i presumme owner still on stock typre - silverstone? I change to Tripplemax the next day i got my car... nvr had a chance to try out ESC.
Recommend senaxis at taman mayang, in my experience they give good service by far. My dashboard rattling issues send to mutiara damansara for at least 3 times still cant get it settled thoroughly. Send to senaxis, 1 take gaodim, and I only need to wait for approx 4-5 hours, instead of having to drop the car overnight in mutiara.
And the person in charge is very good in customer service, will inform you on what parts need changing, take approx how long on the spot, after you agree then proceed servicing. After service will ask you to try and drive 1st, if anything please come back to us.
Though the service centre is not as big and as comfortable as the 3s centres, they do take good care of our rides, which imo is more important.
lucky u, got hte rattling problem solve. I told them to fix rattling too, but they didnt solve it. Maybe it was obvious to the technician at that time.
