Anyway guys, does the central locking/unlocking button on the dash backlit? It's stupidly dark when you're driving at night and someone not familiar to your car is trying to unlock the doors for you.

It's backlit for the front parking aid activation button, it's backlit for the hazard light toggling switch, it's backlit for the ESP deactivation switch, but why not the freaking central locking/unlocking button???  mad.gif
*
mine std CVT gt backlit for central locking.. but if the door is unlock then no light. if the door is lock, then gt light. think so. seldom drive at night. will check again.

Of coz angry laa bro hahahaha... It's just a simple thing but it's so annoying that they don't implement it while the buttons next to it are with backlit. So potong stim...  doh.gif

Just went for first service. Not very happy right now. The service staff at the counter told me that i have free 5 years service. Ok. Good. Then she say the free service only eligible for semi synthetic oil. Ok. Good. Now here comes the nt very happy part.

She told me if i would like to upgrade to fully synthetic. I say its ok and i would stick to the free semi synthetic. Then she say ur next service would be 10,000 km or 6 months. But semi synthetic only can last the most 5,000 km. If there is any problem in ur car if u travel more than 5,000 km, then its ur fault. What!!!

Is she threatening me to upgrade?? What u all think?? On the other hand, if proton knows the semi synthetic cant handle till 10,000 km, why implement it as free service? And charge customer by upgrading to fully synthetic?? Some of u will say come on, only add a few ringgit... What the fuss!! But..if there are customer that are nt well to do as myself who depends on the free service, then this makes me wry whether that semi synthetic oil is sufficient or nt..

Dont want to make this a big issue. Just want to knw whether semi synthetic ia good enough for 10,000 km.. coz she scared me by telling me my car will spoiled and all that shit.. thanks guys for the reply. Now feeling better. Will definately change sc next time. I dont think they earn any single cents from proton by giving us free service. Thats why they pushing us to upgrade. Think so...

Hi all,

During the last month Proton's fair, we put in a booking fee of RM100 - initially for an Iriz.
After a test drive session, my wife changed her mine and wants a Persona instead.
When come to colour selection, the SA asked to add to RM500 if we choose red. - The excuse is that the colour is high in demand.
Is this for real?
*
Nope.. nt real!! dont fall into their trap..

When going for the Bezza (1.3), do consider that it has the auto start-stop feature which cant be disabled. The reliability of that technology is still untested for that segment and application as it is different from the start-stop higher end cars are using IMO.

Just my 2cents, no offense to anyone.
*
FYI, the auto start stop feature can be disable with a push of a button. there is a button to disable it.

well, couldnt agree more. the reverse sensor a bit slow in detecting the rear object. and not reliable. wouldnt trust it so much. must keep my eyes wide open when reversing.

A SERIOUS QUESTION.

I would like to have the members opinion regarding the dilemma I'm facing now.

I'm currently owning 2014 Toyota Altis 1.8G (no monthly commitment).

What do you say, is it a wise choice, if I let go of Altis, and get myself a 2017 Proton Persona Premium?

Safety wise, Persona tops Altis at reasonable price.

1.6L is enough for me. Main reason being is that I feel like paying more for things that i don't need.

So, enlighten me with your thoughts regarding my Dilemma.

Thanks 😊

keep the ALTIS. buy a new persona and enjoy. thumbsup.gif
