Hi all,

During the last month Proton's fair, we put in a booking fee of RM100 - initially for an Iriz.
After a test drive session, my wife changed her mine and wants a Persona instead.
When come to colour selection, the SA asked to add to RM500 if we choose red. - The excuse is that the colour is high in demand.
Is this for real?

My wife's car started to develop rattle at the meter cluster area. This car is fairly new, has not even go for the first service yet.

Has anyone got the rattle in the dashboard fixed by SC? Is it going to be permanent or we just have to live with it? This unit should have the noise kit fixed already shakehead.gif

Noise insulation is fairly good, but I found out that there are humming / booming noise when I drive at certain speed and also when going over those yellow line small speed bumps.

It happens, even if ip noise kit already installed from factory there is no certainty that it'll not make any rattling noises. Not sure if the fix will be permanent as again there isn't any guarantee especially if you're owning the car for longer than 5 years.

As for booming/humming noise, that's probably those awful Silverstone tyres if you drive them past 60km/h.

Thing is, my 5 year old Exora has lesser rattle at the dash. Maybe the Persona dash has more parts.

About the tyres, I do suspect them too, but if I can remember correctly, it is Goodyear and not Silverstone.

3 days in & my new persona the auto lock doesn’t lock when the car is moving. Can lock it manually but won’t unlock automatically either when shutting off engine. Worked fine first 3 days. Pls don’t let this be the beginning of many other problems.

I think you accidentally disabled the auto lock. Try push and hold the central lock button when ignition ON until the hazard light blinks and see how it goes. - can refer manual page 37 laugh.gif

A bit of rattling is no big deal if it's not too noticeable like the owner mentioned. Besides, some Bezza owners also complain of rattling after a short while so it's just an inherent problem with cheap, mass-produced cars.

Ours have the rattle at the meter cluster, apparent in hot weather. But then, my friend's new BMW 3s also have some rattle lol.
