Any of u face petrol dripping from under carriage?

Just noticed my 2 mth old persona is leaking petrol underneath. Location is about rear right, just beside wheel. Can see petrol on floor, can't determine exact leakage, need go to SC check tomorrow.

Now, really regret getting a car with so many quality problem.

I could only hear a "tak" sound from your attached video clip at 0:02. Did the sound appear when you start the engine WITHOUT turning on the A/C during cold start? If the sound doesn't exist with the A/C OFF, then most probably it's the groaning noise from the A/C system, which is pretty normal in my opinion. And a short rev to 1.5k rpm during cold start is pretty normal too, as the engine is still cold and requires more engine load to bring up the engine temperature.

Just went for first service. Not very happy right now. The service staff at the counter told me that i have free 5 years service. Ok. Good. Then she say the free service only eligible for semi synthetic oil. Ok. Good. Now here comes the nt very happy part.

She told me if i would like to upgrade to fully synthetic. I say its ok and i would stick to the free semi synthetic. Then she say ur next service would be 10,000 km or 6 months. But semi synthetic only can last the most 5,000 km. If there is any problem in ur car if u travel more than 5,000 km, then its ur fault. What!!!

Is she threatening me to upgrade?? What u all think?? On the other hand, if proton knows the semi synthetic cant handle till 10,000 km, why implement it as free service? And charge customer by upgrading to fully synthetic?? Some of u will say come on, only add a few ringgit... What the fuss!! But..if there are customer that are nt well to do as myself who depends on the free service, then this makes me wry whether that semi synthetic oil is sufficient or nt..

I need to ask a few questions experienced Persona drivers here. I just got a Proton Persona 1.6 premium.

1. ODO meters shows 536km, but the display already shows "periodic inspection" sign?

2. When the car stars & i immediately turn the AC on i can hear like brr brr sound coming from the car.

3. The display that shows how many km i can go with the available fuel I have have keeps jumping up & down. Like from 186km to 196km then back down 170km.

For me the video sound very obvious already, the sound like generator motor sound, lol. I suspect from engine but dont know which part and when 1st gear, once i release thr clutch, also got weird sound like "chik chik.. "

New guy here. Just bought persona premium yesterday and drove to my hometown 300km away right after receive the keys. 💪
Ive noticed theres a sound around the aircond outlet once in a while (2,3 minutes) after drove  it 200km.. its like sound of people snoring (slowly).. any of u know have idea what is it actually.

I got tired of the rattling noise I went ahead to fix it myself. I will upload the tutorial later. For now let me show you why persona is really not tin milo. That amount of noise foam is a lot. Is about 2cm thick.

this simple tutorial will show how to remove door trim for Iriz and Persona. I did this because im finding the source of rattling, it will help those who need to fix power window, upgrade speaker and also door handle.

1. Firstly remove this tab using a flat head screw driver. Then unscrew it.

2. locate the storage slot at the door trim, unscrew it.

3. gently try to lift up the power window switch console off the door trim.

4. Uplug the 2 cables harness.

this is harder to remove, there is actually 3 side that has clips that hold them in place, use a small flat head screw driver to push the clip inwards so it can be freed

your power window switch console should be completely detach.
5. Remove this 2 screws
[attachmentid=9409065].

6. starting from bottom of your door trim, pull the black trim towards you gently, you will heard clips popping out, slowly pull it from bottom to the side.
once you reach the top, gently lift up the black trim by pulling it upwards, the door trim will come off. DO NOT DROP YOUR DOOR TRIM AT THIS MOMENT.

Warning: DO NOT PULL THE DOOR TRIM ON THE TOP, THE TOP IS NO HELD IN PLACE WITH CLIP.

7.unscrew 3 screws to free the door lock here. your door trim will be completely off from your door.

8. i found that the rattling come from the plastic connector hitting the metal door. so i stuck some sponge there.

reinstalling is just the reverse step. general tip, after you screw back in any parts, give it a good wiggle, we are trying to solve the rattling noise, not adding more. take it slow and never use brute force.

Usb slot on player use for music streaming. 

CVT lag is normal for persona, but the lag is better than previous generation which been used in Saga FLX. U might can try do clutch adaptation on yourself in front page have the tutorial or refer to SC to help you.

BTW you won't expect it will immediately get the response and power, you required to adapt with it. If your 12 yrs old car is iswara or drive by cable throttle then when u switch to persona u will experience response delay, as new persona is drive by wire.

Ok, cvt lag is noticeable eapecially traffic jam, i need time to adapt it... Otherwise keep getting honk
Btw how to control the dashboard like reset trip odometer? Lazy read manual .... Pls give fast answer
