Just to share perhaps can add to the first page on Plus and Minus compared to Iriz:

Minus:
1. Iriz has map and cabin lamps, Persona only cabin lamp.
2. Iriz has adjustable rear seat headrests
3. Iriz used to come with 195/55/15 tyres vs Persona's 185/60/15 tyres.
4. Iriz used to come with auto up/down driver window, Persona only auto down.

Plus (what I feel is):
1. Persona has remote boot opening (does Iriz have this? I remember their Premium key is diff)
2. Persona interior is two-toned vs all-black in Iriz
3. Persona Multi-info display is white-on-dark blue vs Iriz's orange-on-black
4. All other Persona plus points as outlined wink.gif

Just my 2 cents to help those deciding to differentiate the Iriz from Persona besides the additional boot.

Would like to ask, any members here tried installing the newer armrests recently posted on mudah?

Saw a few and wonder how the quality and practicality is like.

You comparing old iriz ? New Iriz is change a lot of thing. Almost identical to Persona.  smile.gif

Yup, this is true. In fact, the new Iriz lost out alot compared to the persona. Especially at the highest spec you only get semi-leather seats.

For me what i feel is really necessary to add to the Persona is:
1. Decent armrest
2. Map Lights
3. Rear seat headrests
4. Auto-up driver's window

Other than that, dare i say the Persona is probably the best B-segment out there and i'm not saying that just for the price point, it is smartly designed. Take for example:

1. You auto-fold your mirrors, they auto-unfold as your speed builds up past 20kmh. Freaking smart.
2. Your passenger unlocks one door (by pulling the door handle once to unlock, again to open), and after they alighted, your car auto-locks itself after you speed past 20kmh. Freaking smart.
3. You pull your wiper stalk to spray wiper wash on your windscreen, and your wiper wipes twice. Few seconds later, it auto-wipes again another time just to be sure it's clean. Freaking smart.
4. You put your wiper speed at the highest (fastest) setting, and as you slow to a stop at the traffic light, instead of letting your fast moving wipers annoy you, your wiper automatically adjusts its speed to slow down. Once you speed back up, it wipes fast again. Freaking smart.
5. You left your key in the boot after you close your boot. Your car honks. Freaking smart.

These are just a few examples, and mine is a Premium btw. For these examples, Proton could've just used a much simpler system instead of smartly designing it to suit users better. At this price-point and segment, such control systems are rare for trivial items like this.

it's called indicator stalk
ohh it has this extra function!

driver can press down half a click, light only up 5 times
dunno if aftermarket can mod this function or not??    hmm.gif  hmm.gif

Only today do I know that this a Premium-exclusive feature!

Also note that only Premium seats have back-pocket. Can anyone confirm?

For me, if can afford go Premium all the way. Some features are just not something aftermarket can simply implement, case in point is the additional airbag and keyless system.

The signal stalk can actually cancel. After 2 blinks, if you wish to cancel, just push it the opposite direction. And yes i do agree, 3 blinks not sufficient. 5 blinks close to perfect. If 4.5 blinks that'll be perfect tongue.gif

When going for the Bezza (1.3), do consider that it has the auto start-stop feature which cant be disabled. The reliability of that technology is still untested for that segment and application as it is different from the start-stop higher end cars are using IMO.

Just my 2cents, no offense to anyone.

My best fuel consumption recorded is 450km per full tank, so it averages about 90km/bar (there are 7 bars and Proton actually made them rather linear). This is in full highway from KL-JB-Desaru condition.

My worst fuel consumption is 290km per full tank, which averages 41km/bar. This is in full city driving, almost complete stop-go traffic.

Info for those who wants to know about the Persona's fuel consumption. For both cases, tanks are pumped till 3 clicks method, and emptied till the first sign of low-fuel warning lamp is on (not until blinking yet, just lit)

What's the best and worst in km/l or l/100km?
*
Best 6.9 L/100km
Worst 10.8 L/100km

Estimated based on first indication of low fuel still has about 9L left.

Hello.. I want to ask if the car key (keyless entry) is running low on battery, can we change it ourselves or must we go back to SC?
*
Hi bro, you can actually change it yourself very easily. It uses those button cell. Do check your manual there is a step by step guide there as well as what size of battery you need. From there you can just buy maybe from Daiso and change yourself smile.gif

That's my guide  tongue.gif  I did more, but i forgot to document it down. Basically the door card trim, A-pillar (already common and easy to be removed), A/C panel, steering cover, the piece of plastic covering surrounding the glovebox, steering column cover, door step cover. If you guys have need guidance to remove this, just ping me and i will try my best to help.
Anyway, don't use electrical tape as i have mentioned earlier in iriz thread. Use cloth tape that can be bought from lazada as i find it has the best dampening effect on rattly plastics

I will modifiy the posts.

oops that thread is locked, and I can't modify it anymore.

I dont have any pics after done but i got pics after removed the ac panel for reference.

This part quite difficult to be removed but not impossible.

This 1st image you see after removed, chances are the bottom clip will stuck in the slot. Remember to take it out carefully else it will drop behind. Remember to take out and put it back to the cover b4 u push it back in. For my case the 2 white clip is stuck in the slot. Mine after removing it, the center white clip drop behind and i din manage to retrieve it. Anyway it din cause any noise so i just leave it dropped behind. Without the clip it's still tight after putting it back.
There are 5 clips holidng it as shown in red circle below. The yellow one is not clip. Just slot in the hole. Bottom row 3 clips will stuck in the slot after removed as you can see in 2nd image

To remove the panel i remove glovebox 1st then use my hand to push it out from inside. I push out the red circled part from inside then slowly pull out the rest from outside. If you noticed here there are scratches but rest assured it wasnt caused by this method. Previously i use screwdriver to pry out from bottom but failed, hence the scratches. A lesson learnt for me so u guys wont repeat the same mistake as i did.
[attachmentid=9624134]

I use cloth tape to tape the red circled part as shown below. Just cut the tape nicely so when you put panel back u wont be seeing any tape exposed. Yellow part i use daiso thick soft sponge tape so that when u press the panel it wont make nyek nyek sound.
[attachmentid=9624135]

Good luck!

Thanks for the heads-up bro! This post should be pinned together with the other guides too! Really useful stuff here smile.gif
