biggrin.gif I am not expert.  Just roughly know only. I attached the video, which hope he could explain more to you.

Drive by wire - which is the throttle body controlled by the ecu , there are some sensor in between ur gas pedal and the ecu. Once you press the gas pedal it will send signal to ecu from sensor tell it I pressed this much , then ecu will try send signal to TPS in throttle body there please open this much to let the air come in.

Drive by cable - is a mechanical system, no ecu , no sensor in between. Once u press gas pedal = the throttle body mouth open.

ahhh
got a brief understanding on how both systems work
but 1 thing that worry me is the amount of sophisticated sensors used are a lot more than traditional car,
which tend to lead to more problems lah smile.gif
personally have faced brake switch problem
anyway thanks

did proton keep using the same vendor since Suprima, Iriz?
both model seem had trouble with HU since day 1.. lagging is normal
why proton keep not changing problematic vendor?

btw most aftermarket HU can using back the steering control as it have additional cable for that. ask the installer, sure they will know.
unless it is suprima, we can assume to lost the front sensor after changing the HU. not sure why
*
Why they don't change the kroni vendor
U know I know lah brows.gif

Finally....  rclxms.gif

My Blackie already arrived.  flex.gif

Thanks Vincent818 for your service and the deal.

Here is my review on his service:

**Disclaimer: I am neither related nor a friend to Vincent and I am not being paid to write this review. My review on his service is solely based on customer point of view**

I got to know Vincent via this thread where he simply offer me the best deal which I cannot say no. I dropped him a PM and the rest was in WhatsApp. I tried to make an appointment with him but he is going for a long holiday. Somehow he managed to get his manager to sit-in for the appointment to deal with all my questions.

Why you can deal with him?
- Vincent is very reliable and straight-to-the-point guy. He provides professional service as a Sales Advisor.
- Get the job done promptly.
- Very detailed person as all the payments are being explained.
- Communication can be done via WhatsApp.
- Managed the entire process from the A-Z.

My experience with dealing him is very pleasant and I’m very satisfy with his service. Anyone who wish to buy a Proton car should definitely give him a chance to serve you.

Hi zero5177, mind to add me to the list?
