I am not expert.  Just roughly know only. I attached the video, which hope he could explain more to you.

Drive by wire - which is the throttle body controlled by the ecu , there are some sensor in between ur gas pedal and the ecu. Once you press the gas pedal it will send signal to ecu from sensor tell it I pressed this much , then ecu will try send signal to TPS in throttle body there please open this much to let the air come in.

Drive by cable - is a mechanical system, no ecu , no sensor in between. Once u press gas pedal = the throttle body mouth open.

lol you should worry how much for each sensor. 

The brake switch problem common for Proton from Saga flx generation until now, now I heard that it come out brake switch version 3.

Still got meh brake switch issue. That one mostly 2014-2015 Iriz owners complain about. 2016 onwards Iriz/Persona not much affected it looks like.

u should ask Proton liao. So far latest Brake switch is working fine.

Thanks god, so far so good. Rattling pon tadak. Still less than 5k mileage anyway. Tapi parking sensor  both front n rear memang hancuss.

did proton keep using the same vendor since Suprima, Iriz?
both model seem had trouble with HU since day 1.. lagging is normal
why proton keep not changing problematic vendor?

btw most aftermarket HU can using back the steering control as it have additional cable for that. ask the installer, sure they will know.
unless it is suprima, we can assume to lost the front sensor after changing the HU. not sure why

guys, is it normal for auto(premium) variant to have a knock sound in the gearbox when on and off the engine ?
