Are you sure it's old stock?
I thought initial Persona rim(second picture) changed to Iriz's rim but with monotone.
*
Guy I'm replying to said his is different from test drive unit(Iriz wheels) so it could mean he received old stock with the original design wheels.

But then he said his is the new stock with Iriz wheels(first picture), I think he mixed up the two?

Replace with aftermarket plug n play hu if you cannot bear the lagging.

Maybe that explains why one of your remotes is no longer working. Possible that the battery is dead from not being operated for months.

Does your Persona have Iriz wheels or the older design? If it's older design confirmed older stock.

But if it's Iriz wheels+old HU, then something fishy going on with the dealer you bought the car from.

Mine is like this

Wow that's really weird. There isn't supposed to be a Persona with the new wheels BUT with the old HU, only with new HU.

Contact Proton customer care about this, maybe the dealer you bought it from tried to pass off old stock as new by fitting new wheels to it.

Mainly aircond and engine problem. I spent a lot time on the fixing and getting too tire. Need to get a solution.
*
Sound like you got a lemon. Definitely suggest you forward this issue to Proton HQ. If they are slow to respond, then consider getting a lawyer. Proton should supply you a replacement if the issues are severe enough.

May I know where is the proton HQ and contact that I can go for? COSE?
*
The COE in Kesas is the main HQ, contact number is + 03-8026 9333. Heard they are usually quick with problems and warranty claims so try asking them about it.

Good luck!

Any updates from customer care about this? Seems like you got ripped off by the dealer.

http://www.automachi.com/2017/11/geely-new-1-4-turbo-engine/

Aluminium block, timing chain and Euro 6 compliant. If this engine is modular then can remove the turbo and it'll be a suitable engine for the Persona. But dunno if it's oredi tested yet on the road, hopefully can be finished before or around Persona's 2nd year on the road.

Can beat Maivee in terms of FC or not?

Hi guys, i just got my car for 1 week + and i noticed that most of my car's lug nuts already rusty. sad.gif
*
Lug nut confirmed taken from old parts bin. If it's surface rust I believe can be fixed diy but if even the inside rusty then no choice but to replace soon.

Have you tried scraping the lug nuts with aluminium foil+lemon juice. This usually removes the surface rust that hasn't corroded the inside yet.

2018 persona will get below update as standard across
1. 6 airbags
2. keyless entry & push start button

launching date: ETA Q1

How come no LED headlights for Premium variant? Kesian top spec gets no updates. But good that they're making lower spec better value.

Cannot be testdrive car cos it need to be registered too and the chassis number is different.

I think it's just normal for the new Persona. The previous gen Persona not much problem but the new one is loaded with complaints. My friends younger brother also got the new Persona and had sent his car to SC 3 times within the 1st month and still problem can't fixed

You just need to get used to it

As long as it's still moving then it's normal
*
Telling people that it's normal and you just need to get used to it....how very helpful.

And by the way, the issue that he mentioned isn't even a common issue amongst new Persona so that just makes you look even more foolish.

my new persona has no "beep" sound once turn gear to "R". then SC said had changed the mileage meter, and now my mileage meter become 0 already..anyone can advice whether this is normal? I wonder how the soundless "beep" sound relate to the mileage meter?
*
Perhaps they also reset the internal control unit of the car which causes the mileage clock to become zero.

Well, it was a shock for me as I also own a Proton Saga FLX 1.6 SE. Usually the engine revs at 2.5k rpm at 110km/h, & 3k rpm at 140km/h.
*
Try CVT adaptation and see if it recalibrates. The rev range should be similar to the Saga iirc. If not, make it a point to ask SC to calibrate the CVT at the next service.

Strange thing happened tonight.

Can’t start the car but car still new (13000 km). Locked car using remote, unlock then can start but check engine light is on.

Car seems to be fine, power still ok, no jerking, no limp mode.

A little back story...

Usually fill Shell but filled 50 bucks worth of Petronas. Car’s been driven 3+ hours, went for toilet break then the above happened.

Anyone know what’s wrong or it’s just problem with emission system as described in the manual?
*
Have you tried checking the gas cap, sometimes a loose or broken cap could trigger the check engine light. Your car could move just fine so the engine might not be the problem.

did proton keep using the same vendor since Suprima, Iriz?
both model seem had trouble with HU since day 1.. lagging is normal
why proton keep not changing problematic vendor?

btw most aftermarket HU can using back the steering control as it have additional cable for that. ask the installer, sure they will know.
unless it is suprima, we can assume to lost the front sensor after changing the HU. not sure why
*
Only 7 months ago they switch vendor for Persona/Iriz HU. People say the new one much more responsive and less erratic so good in that part.

Though they haven't done anything for Preve/Suprima.

went to two sc yesterday and tomorrow (putrajaya and intan matang SA) and i still hearingthe duk duk sound on my front left absorber. Really disappointed with both sc services. Any idea to resolve this issue ?
*
Usually SC would retighten the absorber but it rarely fixes the problem. Reoccurring noise in that part means either have to disassemble the absorber or replace it entirely.
