How AES camera works? Road sensors or infra red like police traffic yg menyorok tu?

Because saw a few AES, they change direction.

for example,

one aes at SKVE, near shell and petronas. before this, aes akan shoot vehicle from puchong to bangi. tapi sekarang sudah terbalik.

persoalan sekarang,

1. bila change direction, dia tembak belakang or dia tembak jalan bertentangan (from bangi to puchong)

The old aes got sensor on road. This one shoot from the front

The new one, the one shoot from behind, use a different sensor. Not sure what.

My uncle is an officer, n he confirm that it shoot behind, doesnt shoot the opposite direction.

so basically, they replace the AES, using infra red instead of sensor on the road? only tembak belakang right? opposite road cant kana tambak?

Shoot front or behind also same.

Use inductive loop embedded in the road.

just curious, how aes works. and why they change the direction of camera. now cannot tambak muka driver sudah.

because they tembak with flashlight, quite dangerous can startle the drivers, that's why now tembak belakang

it won't make much diff la, if u speeding belakang or depan still kena tembak

Just slow down when approaching aes, no matter front or back.

all use laser already..

Insta brake hard crawl 20km/h when near aes camera

Nowadays all those BMW pukima all install weird ass number plate, some the plate number small AF need magnifier to see. But I seen 1 very gooding cos under normal light the plate looks normal. But when hit with flash all the number become 888 8888.

I didnt know BMW immune to standard traffic regulation? apasal they can tint the windows, change car plate etc. Police wont kacau because they BMW master race?

Yes it very hard. Sometimes some area got ridiculous speed limit.

at SKVE, 80km/h. not that hard actually. but leceh la mau brake.

A colleague of mine actually kantoi and resulted in divorce in the early days of AES. Apparently when the AES took pictures from the front, can clearly see my colleague + GF in the car. Summon was sent to home to his wife. Kantoi coz colleague claimed working at another location so couldn't come home, while AES took picture at another location nearby GF house. Wife came and rage at the office.

After a few months after my colleague's case, AES pictures now blurs the passenger side

If driving Kancil, no issue at all. If drive newer car, highway speed 110kph is like driving 80kph. Press little bit already already unintentional reaches > 120kph. The best part is some AES camera install just few KM away from speed limit changed from 110 to 90kph.

Yep, for example pagoh area. There are 2 aes, one on each side.

They told u already that u are in the aes operating area. So, why the need of making the camera obvious?

Shoot behind because radar jammer cannot jam it , forward facing most radar jammer also face forward

Ok, so now I put weird plates like dat revolving James Bond type when on hiway. After exit hiway then rotate to actual number.

Just slow down when near AES lo.

tembak depan, other drivers from far can c the flash, they can slow down
tembak belakang, drivers from the back dont notice much there is an aes infront

last time aes in slim river use to tembak depan, but now already change position tembak belakang

They changed from road sensor to the radar based system. The reason for this was radar require less maintenance, as for the road sensor, it require re-calibration in every few months.

Would be more excited if they can implement minimum speed limit

in case some people dont know, that fucking flash is so strong that it might temporarily blind other people that not even speeding.

unless its well lit area like in kajang.


p/s:btw u should apply to become JPJ officer. have a look at how many really small plate number on motorcycles, gangster cars etc. i think understaff

seems fake story. if tembak belakang how to confirm is your car?
can just claim someone using your car plate number.

tembak front can see the roadtax (and u digging ur nose) canot lari

that is why, i tanya. if they change the direction of camera to tembak kereta at opposite road.

the measure using radar. just reverse the direction and can get the speed dy. no biggy.

And in case if anyone wondering, jpj have their daily target. For example, today they want to check no. plate, they will check only that. Those with dark tint, but no. plate ok, dia bg lps.. again, source from my uncle la.

A very straight road in Baling - Sungai Petani speed limit is around 60km, we rage because its fricking slow but then when accident happens we blame takdir padahal that road is kampung road full of lembu, kambing ayam and wild animals.

If detect speed i see on the tarmac itself they got outline of it being tempered... Right next to the camera.

That means they put sensor underneath

I'd say the sensor monitors the time between two weights passing over it...

Those sohais decided to change the direction, instead of facing traffic going to Kajang, the camera is not facing traffic going to Cyber / Puchong. But dont think the camera is turned on yet cause I zoomed by there at 120 kmph this morning and no flash. Most likely waiting for the sign board to be up on the other side of the road.....

Last month, I was driving from Penang to KL.

I was on the right lane and kena AES camera flash from the opposite side.

I saw for a second

The correct speed detector in use is "Radar". The radar detects all car speeds but cannot determine which is speeding, hence the sensor on the road gives the definite answer on which lane of the car is speeding. Camera as usual fires to take photos with the data recorded. AES do not use lasers. They use radar as radar can be projected to a wide range on all cars at one go but a laser requires aiming. Most radars can be detected by radar scanners as the signal bounces off from object like sound. Lasers are a bit difficult but high end scanners can sense the laser markings if its aim towards the scanner or the light is bounced off and picked up by the sensors. Laser jammers are expensive. they do not provide full proof if the laser light shoot from the car does not pickup and receive by the laser speed gun.
