True they wont turn u away. But it u compare a private follow up book and a govt clinic follow up book, the govt one is more comprehensve. For a doctor who has never met u throughout your whole pregnancy and is now delivering you, this pink book tells the whole story.
- serial Urine checks,
-serial BPs,
-Serial Hbs
-Serial weight gain/ loss
- MGTT results
- the book has fetal kick chart
- detailed info about nourishment in pregnancy

For me, it is wiser to follow up in govt clinic (free) with free follow up scans.
U can complement this with private follow ups, detailed scans or 3D/4D.

I know this is a late reply. But this is a reply to future parents out there
Basically u call up these clinics and ask if your place comes under their kawasan.
Each KK covers certain areas, so that it is easier for them to handle this expecting mothers. The nurses especially are further divided into subkawasans. So throughout the pregnancy, u are most likely to meet the same nurses until u have delivered. They will monitor u n baby after the delivery (wound care, mom's nutrition and psychology well being, breast feeding methods, jaundice level)
