What the diff between these two? If possible in malay words. And if i want to write 'adakah kita terkesan' should it be 'are we affected'or 'are we effected'?

Effect = kesan
Its a Noun or Name

Affect = mempengaruhi/terkesan
Its a verb or action

Do I get that right? No?

You would then say

'are we affected'?

Meaning does this affect us?

or does the effect affect us.. ok?

affect = means a feeling or an impact to our emotion

effect = cause of the matter
