Hi all. I'd like to ask for opinions to get a bike for myself.
Budget: 4 figures in RM, ideally 5k below. I own a full D driving license, and don't have one for motorcycle. So expecting to spent some money on getting license for bike too.
Usage: Commute to college about 10KM for go amd back from college. Nothing else except groceries shopping.
Requirements: look good, easy & cheap to maintain.

What I know about bike? Nothing, never really rode one before. I just know that I should not start off with anything above 250cc. The idea behind getting a bike is that I'm tired of walking about 20 minutes per day to walk back and forth from bus stop to go to my college. Besides that, I'm also tired of the inconsistency of the public bus schedule. Sometimes the buses are too packed that only a few can enter the buses. Additionally, I refuse to ride an ugly bike like the kapcais. Please suggest me a decent looking efficient bike.

I'll probably use the bike here for about a year and a half in KL, deciding to send it back to Borneo once I've graduated and left KL. I'm looking for second hand if possible as I'll probably get sponsorship from my FAMA, don't want to exert too much money from them.

Just get anything with Fuel Injection. Save fuel
Lagenda FI for example can go >120km on full tank

For license just take L license ok day but cannot have passenger. Take computer test only but can only have for 2 years

Yes yes.

Though I would add one more thing - no matter how expensive of a bike you ride, kalau kena accident chances of kepala pecah and tulang patah is much much higher than driving a cheap 5k kancil.

So always think about that before you become a typical rempit on the road.
*
It's just the matter of perspective yes, the reason why I like to avoid having a bike that look anything lesser than r1 alike, is to avoid the rempit appearance. If it's destined for you to die, no matter how hard you try, you'll die anyway. Thus, such comparison whether or not one will be crushed if use bike is kind of irrelevant. I walk along the road side almost every day, so that's the least of my concern. Personally I do think that one can fight against destiny

that if only he choose to become rempit. smile.gif

if he is a good law-abiding citizen, it is all that matters.

well, /k will still fail to differentiate and called him a rempit anyway. so better for him not think much. world is bigger than this petty forum anyway.

Nah im not rempit, I'm not even going to modify the bike so it can sound stupidly annoying. Yes I'm a law abiding person, but occasionally I do express some dissatisfaction for stupid people on the road.

first I wanna ask, ada at least 7k ke?
u newbie, cannot suggest u buy used. later u kesian
*
It'll be that complicated for newbies? If worth it sure have 7k, if no other choice that is

QUOTE(HaiiSuan @ Aug 5 2017, 11:27 PM)
how tall?

btw time to get real. kapchai price is from 4k to 12k.
above than that then can get the bike look that you want. for 20 minute walking distance, better get ex5 FI.
no, it is not a rempit bike. rempit will be nice to you instead as their youngest blue collar brethren and take care of you.
the fuel and maintenance super cheap u won't regret
*
About 180cm. That bike... Really no muka for me to ride, even though the price is about 5k, it's not really that stylish.
