Hayate was taken back to Nagi's mansion, where he was offered a job as a butler. He accepted, much to the annoyance of the head butler, Klaus. While cleaning up the study room, he found Nagi's manga work, thinking it was a picture book. Nagi was appaled on him calling her work a picture book thus told him to get out. Hayate misunderstood this as an order to get out of teh mansion. Outside, he met with his debtors and got kidnapped. Maria seeing this told Nagi who in a disguise went out to save him. Nagi paid off all his debt at first telling Hayate it was a present for saving her. but Hayate insisted to pay it back. Nagi who was mad when Hayate called her disguise 'cheap' told him to be her butler untill the debt is paid <--- He is my master??
