New surprising information on .hack//G.U. Last Recode has been revealed in the latest Weekly Famitsu magazine. Other than including the original three volumes of the series (Rebirth, Reminisce, Redemption), Last Recode will also have a brand-new 4th Volume, officially turning it into a tetralogy just like the first .hack series (Infection, Mutation, Outbreak, Quarantine).

The Japanese subtitle for the new Vol.4 is Or Dreams of Snakes that Connect the World, and currently, the English subtitle has not been known yet.



Story Synopsis of Vol.4

A year and 3 months after the events of Vol.3 Redemption, Haseo logged back into The World R:2, and found Ovan frozen in an ice block inside a new Lost Ground named the Great Cave of Cua Holm. Haseo tried to break the ice but was unsuccessful, so he gathers his old friends again on an adventure to rescue Ovan.

.hack//G.U. Last Recode will also have a limited Premium Edition which contains the following items:

-Game disc (Contains Vol.1~3, the new Vol.4 and Terminal Disc)
-Premium Disc Set (Contains the soundtrack, drama CD and anime Blu-ray disc)
-Secret File booklet (Contains newly written novel and setting materials of Vol.4)
-Specially-made package box

.hack//G.U. Last Recode is just announced to be released in Japan on November 1 for PlayStation 4 and Steam. It will also come to the West in Late 2017 and will have Japanese and English dual audio option, as well as subtitles in English, French, and German.

New Content in .hack//G.U. Vol. 4//Reconnection

The MMORPG “The World” has announced that their service will be coming to an end on December 31st, 2018. Soon after that announcement, Haseo, who hasn’t logged into the World since the events of Vol.3//Redemption, receives a mysterious email. In this e-mail, Haseo finds a hint to where Ovan; an old friend, has been after they last saw each other. Haseo, once again logs into The World in order to save his comrade!

Along the way, a new character Kusabira, who’s mysterious intentions and past is unraveled throughout the new story, greets him.

I hope they make this .Hack game as a real MMORPG game where you can create your own avatar and play with friends from throughout world doing sidequests,now that mmorpg become a trend and its good to milk the series.

Square Enix and SEGA already did that with FFXIV and FFXV (Comrade edition) and Phantasy Star Online where FFXIV and PSO became really hit.

Got my copy! So excited to relive .hack again. But is there dual audio? Coz my R3 copy mcm only have jp audio with eng sub. I wanna hear Yuri Lowenthal go all edgy like the old ps2 days man..

Yaa found the language option in the title screen. Didnt really notice it before coz was too excited to start playing 😂. Didnt help that the box only stated japanese audio 😅

anyway I am 15 hour into Ep1.. I feel like the game is easy? I dont recall being that easy in the original ps2 version

for me.. yes, because I played it all during the ps2 era. one of my favorite JRPG on ps2.

BUT... the remaster is not as good as FFXII. The graphic is still very PS2-ish

finally finish vol 4... I really hope CC2 will make The World R3. Its so good .
