Well, it's actually very little money for the quality u get n the peace of mind knowing that everything will haf good clean power. N it shud last a good few years b4 even more power hungry components come out. I wudn run my King Kong rig with anything less than this PSU. Super nice n stable power even at extreme overclocks.

damn... ur King Kong is a real King Kong which is y u say it's a good price to pay... but i still hope to get 1 of this someday...

oh and yea, the plug on this thing is huge! hehe, is there gonna be a replacement in case we lose it? but it's kinda reassuring tho...like it's meant to handle high wattage or something hehe

If u look carefully, it's a 15A plug. I've looked everywhere n the only 15A plug available locally is with the round pins type of plug like those ancient plugs used during the 1970s. Nowadays u only c those plugs being used for hi wattage things like water heaters n stuff.

thanks for the info uncle ianho and nice to hear we can obtain a replacement locally. and yea, now wanna look around for a full tower casing to accommodate this thing. doing cable management with a Lian-Li PC-G7 is tough. but yea i'll see what i can do first while saving money for a replacement case. anything you guys can recommend? what about PC-A10 or the Stacker? i want the TJ-07 so bad but with a price tag of RM 1000++ it's kinda out of my budget

OK. Here's some updates for the owners of 1st gen OP1000 who got the wrong 8 pin PCIe plugs The proper plugs are now available from Silverstone. They are converter plugs. Just plug your 8 pin PCIe plugs into them and you have the correct 8 pin plugs for the new ATI 2900XT.

Those who know how to mod the plugs can also remove the old 8 pin plugs from the PSU. Then just use the new correct plugs instead of using them as converters. You should be able to pick up the converter plugs from the place you bought the PSU from.



Here's a pic of the converter plugs that I received from Silverstone.







From this close up pic, you can see that the bottom right pin is now a D shaped pin. The original plugs had a square shaped pin.

No, the new OPs dont haf this wrong plug issue anymore. The new OP750 I just received from Silverstone has the proper 8pin PCIe plug as well.

Damn, this thing looks really really goddamn tough. But unfortunately, getting a 1000W psu for my current rig will definitely be an overkill.

This will give you current bill similar to air cond. What a monstrous PSU.

the amount of wattage a PSU has DOES NOT effect the electricity bill...

its the power consumption of the other hardwares in ur rig that effects it.

so bigger power PSU DOES NOT mean higher electricity bill
