Hi everyone!

Meet Blink — the next generation of home security. Unlike other home security cameras, Blink is completely wireless and can last up to 2 years on only two AA batteries.

Wait...it can operate up to 2 years using only two batteries?? That's insane! How is this possible?

Blink is able to achieve this breakthrough in low-power technology thanks to its revolutionary image processing chips. The brains behind Blink is Immedia — a Boston-based startup reputed for developing video and image processing technology for a wide range of devices.

Aside from its proprietary processors, Blink also utilises a Sync Module that wakes the Blink up on demand to preserve the Blink's battery life. Until the Blink wakes up, it remains in an "ultra low power" mode.

The Blink security camera was recognised as a 2017 CES Innovation Awards Honoree.

Now, you can get the Blink starter kit (with one Blink camera and one Sync Module) in Malaysia for only RM649 thanks to Aztech! Keep an eye out for our next post where we'll be shining the spotlight on more cool Blink features.

In the meantime, here are the weighty specs for the Blink:

Camera
- Dimensions: 71 x 71 x 30 mm
- Battery: 2 AA Lithium
- Battery life: 2 years under normal operation*
- video resolution: 720P HD (H.264 format)
- Field of view: 110-degrees
- Night vision: Yes
- Motion detection: Yes

Sync Module
- Dimensions: 62 x 59 x 18mm
- Wireless: 2.4 GHz 802.11n
- Power: 100-220V AC to 5V DC converter included

*May differ based on individual usage

"A revolutionary security camera without wires." - Financial Times, UK

Ever dealt with the hassle of connecting several security cameras to one central system?

If you're one of those who've struggled with this problem, maybe you will find freedom and flexibility with Blink — dubbed by the Financial Times as a "liberating product" that allows you to connect up to 10 Blink cameras to a completely wireless system.

Imagine 10 security cameras seamlessly set up around your home where you can catch four-legged pillow thieves in all their HD glory:

How good is the Blink's motion activated camera?

It's so good that any detected motion instantly triggers the recording of a short video clip. This is what we call the Instant On feature that works in tandem with the motion detection to trigger a recording within a fraction of a second, so you can get a clear look at who or what triggered the alert.

For example, you might see bears entering your premises -- which is caught immediately thanks to a combination of the motion sensor and the Blink's Instant On feature:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkOaClMe6cY

Yup, it's that fast!

But that's not all. It's a triple threat of features with the Blink's Instant Alerts feature. And you may be wondering what this does.

Well, once the Blink is motion sensor is activated and the camera starts recording (thanks to Instant On), you'll also quickly receive a push notification alert to your mobile phone with a link to the video attached. Yup, you get Instant Alerts straight to your phone so you can decide how to respond.

An overly friendly cat or perhaps, a cat burglar? Well, now you'll know, thanks to Blink! biggrin.gif

Most security cameras suffer from one glaring weakness: Fuzzy footage at night.

And yes, people generally agree that recordings from most security cameras usually come out grainy and near incomprehensible.

But the Blink HD will prove you wrong.

Stepping up to the plate today is one of its most understated features: peerless low-light illumination.

Yes, today we're going to talk about the Blink HD's built-in LED illuminator. Basically, it is a component built into the camera that gives you advanced low-light performance.

And it was designed to go hand-in-hand with Blink's proprietary technology. You may not know this but the US company behind the Blink security camera is actually an industry specialist in video and image processing technology.

Combine the built-in LED illuminator with years of experience and what you get is full-colour, HD quality video — whether it's day or night.

See it for yourself: A mouse perfectly visible in total darkness

Talk to you soon!

P.S. If you have any questions for us, you can always ask us here. biggrin.gif

Still not sure if Blink Aztech is the right security camera for you?

Singapore’s The Straits Times calls it an inexpensive security camera that can be placed in or out of the house (just make sure it doesn’t come into contact with water).

Some of its features include a temperature sensor that lets you monitor rapid temperature changes inside your home.

There’s also a built-in microphone so you can not only see, but also hear what’s happening at home.

But features aside, more often than not, we’re all mostly just looking for a security camera that just works, meaning it should be easy to set up, it doesn’t need to be regularly maintained (note: Blink Aztech runs on batteries that last for up to two years), and all its features work just as advertised.

And yes, setting up the Blink is as easy as 1-2-3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfOC9U2TR1I

So if you own a Blink or plan to get one, tell us what kind of features you’re looking for in a home security camera. We’d love to get your feedback on how we can make the Blink Aztech even better.

Happy Merdeka Day, everyone! biggrin.gif

How are you spending your first day of the five-day long weekend?

If you're heading out of town, make sure you keep your home or business safe with a Blink security camera -- it's super easy to set up and lasts two years on just 2 AA batteries.

By the way, did you know that the Blink security camera can view your facial features from 20 feet away? At 32 feet, a person can still be recognised although facial features cannot be made out.

It's perfect if you have relatives or cleaners coming in and out of your house or office while you're away, and you want to see exactly who is there at what time.

Plus, you can always check the video recording later in 720P HD quality -- so you get a clear view of what's going on inside your home or business with little distortion or blurring.

Do you own a Blink? Tell us your favourite feature.

P.S. We've got something exciting coming your way. Stay tuned to this thread for the announcement very soon. cool2.gif

For security-conscious home owners, the ability to see what's happening at their homes in real time is a must-have feature when it comes to buying a security camera.

Think about it: right now you can check up on your pets or loved ones, see if an intruder set off the alarm, or find out if your house guests are making a mess.

Thank goodness that the Blink Aztech security camera delivers on that front with its Live View feature.

And you can even stream the live feed straight to your phone via the Blink app, no less. How cool is that?

Plus, the app lets you easily select the camera you'd like to view -- if you have more than one Blink Aztech installed in your home.

Best of all, the image quality is top notch thanks to its HD capability -- showing you people, objects, and more in fine detail with minimal blurring.

As we've talked about over the past month or so, the Blink Aztech is simply a superb security camera for the safety-conscious home owner who wants a hassle-free experience all around.

Easy to install, use, and maintain -- the Blink Aztech is just perfect for your home.

Feel paranoid with a security camera in the house? You never know who might be able to hack into your system and spy on you, right? This feeling is especially magnified in people who understand the high costs of privacy.

However, you don’t have to worry as Blink has a solution. It’s a simple, ingenious solution that is built into the camera itself. Introducing Blink’s privacy assurance — a non-hackable, hardware-based LED indicator.

If you’ve always been paranoid about your security camera being hijacked and used as a spying device, Blink’s blue LED indicator will let you know when Blink is recording, or in Live View mode — so you’ll never be caught off guard.

As useful as it is to have a security camera that can detect motion and start recording automatically, maybe we don’t want it to be triggered for our normal, everyday movements around the house or office.

You can always manually arm and disarm your Blink of course, but some of us can be quite forgetful so why not just schedule it instead?

Yes, you can set automatic arm/disarm times for Blink, giving you full control over when it’s active.

For example, if you’re typically at home every evening, you can schedule Blink to activate during the times you’re not at home. Or when all your family members have left the house.

If your business has fixed working hours, you can schedule it to activate at night when everyone’s gone home.

These times can be scheduled in advance right from the app itself - giving you a level of control that’s rarely seen with most security cameras.

Blink is amazingly simple to set up and use. But don’t mistake that for a lack of features.

We’ve described some of its more prominent features over the last few weeks, and we hope you’ve enjoyed reading about them!

Today, we just wanted to briefly tell you about Blink’s multi-system support.

If you are an owner of multiple Blink devices spread across several locations (home, office, vacation home, etc.), Blink’s multi-system support is a godsend.

Why? Because it’s never been easier to manage your Blink security system. That’s right, you can manage all your Blink devices from a single account on the mobile app.

Through the mobile app, you can:
- Receive motion alerts
- Watch live HD video streamed from any Blink camera
- Customise various camera and alert settings — according to your lifestyle and schedule

Still shopping around for a security camera? Don’t think twice because Blink is perfect for both home and business owners.

Ever wondered what a home break-in looks like?

Well, today, we're going to show you, thanks to a couple of videos shared by Elizabeth who managed to catch a couple of intruders with her Blink cameras:

PART 1 - Motion Detection triggers a short recording of the intruder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kM1Nqc7uytQ

PART 2 - 720P HD video recording shows the intruder and his accomplice moving around the house: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XysdUE2B8q8

Remember, Blink's Instant Alerts feature also sends you a push notification with a link to the video attached. This is so you know that your home security camera has been triggered. You can then watch the video and decide the best way to respond.

And if it's late at night and your home is shrouded in darkness? You don't want to come home to find a couple of burglars waiting for you, right?

Blink's low-light illumination detects will give you full-colour HD quality video -- even when no lights have been turned on.

So what are you waiting for? Get a Blink of your own today and protect your home!
